woot!
I think the GTR is really overrated, it's a great car, but not the ultimate car that alot of magazines make it out to be, and it's not very good looking

Definitely overrated. It also doesn't require the same amount of skill in the driver's seat as other cars do. I don't pretend to be a super ace driver, but I do take pride in the ability I have.

too many computer aids really kill the fun

Not really saying much there. The cobra had bolt-ons. So stock it would get beat. I would take the GTR anyday.

Agreed, the GT-R was impressive, the driver, probably less so.

I hate all the computer stuff, it makes anyone a "driver" anymore, gimmie a regular stick and clutch, none of the adjustable spring garbage, traction control, blah, blah, and blah

...been saying that forever about the GTR. And so far it looks like Nissan really went all out to make it difficult for the aftermarket to alter the vehicle. BTW, seen 2 black ones already. Parked next to each other at a local gas station (1 is apparently kept there in one of the service bays) - the owner must not have had a problem coming up with the cash to buy it or both(?)

I'm just proud that an '03 Cobra with little mods can keep up with (and even best) a $70k car.

Until the you brake or turn left or right. The GTR is an impressive "handling" car for its weight.

The GTR is an impressive car, but the Cobra impresses me more.

Both cars impress me. I like the total package though, which includes handling! The 03-04 and GT500 are marketed towards the 1320 crowd.
