One vehicle must go

My parents said that one of my vehicles must go. We already have 4 vehicles plus my brother will get new car soon plus I have plans to get 2003/2004 Mercury Marauder soon.

So here is my problem.

2000 Mustang V6, 5 speed. I love this car, I had it since I was 16. Only 48,000 miles. Problem is that winters in Wisconsin are really tough so it's impossible to drive it during winters.

Then there is 2005 F-150 V8 4x4. I like it, but it's not something I would wanna drive every day. Only 7,000 miles on odometer. However, it's great during winters because of 4x4.

Like I said, I'm planing to get Marauder soon and according to reviews Marauder on the snow is just as bad bas Mustang.

I really don't wanna sell Mustang or F-150, but I have no choice. One of them has to go or I can't get Marauder.

So, what would you do in my situation?

my opinion...Maurarders arent that cool...I would keep both and not worry about the Mercury...but if I had to get rid of one...it would be the Mustang. Trucks are just so amazingly useful, if you sold it, you would regret it more.

. . . tough call, but I would sell the Mustang. I too love Marauders, and I understand your dilema. I would disagree about the Panthers in the snow. They are much heavier and with a set of winter wheels/tires I don't think you would have any issue. I agree with codeman94, about the usefulness of the truck and you would get modify the Marauder with many go-fast "stuff"!!

Oh dear.. This is ridiculously hard

I too love Marauders. I was looking for one when I stumbled upon the Bullitt. Normally I'd say ditch the truck, but I live in CA, and I have no need for 4x4. Thats definitley important as well as the utility of it (i can always borrow a friends) in the snow. Keep the truck.

The mustang is fun, and I can see how its special, but man.. its hard to resist a marauder. If it were me, I'd sell the stang and get the Merc.

Think long and hard about this before you make your decision though. Remember, you have to live with it, not us.

Good luck either way

I'm not going to vote.
I will give opinions.
The Marauder will go through most snow if you have snow tires and weight in the back.
I like having a truck, but for the amount you seem to be using yours you might as well rent one when you need it.
The Mercury will not be as easy to park or handle as well as the Mustang.

I'd keep the mustang. I know I could never part from mine.

I'd say sell the truck--if its an 05 & you've only got 7K miles on it you're not using it that much so keep the Mustang if you're that attached to it & get the Marauder and rent a truck if you need to move something.

Well the stang wont be worth too much really, so i dont think id sell it if i were attached to it as you seem to be... then again i cant imagine using it a lot if youve got a marauder...

And if youre hardly using the truck thats a lot of depreciation to be paying. Id say sell em both, grab a marauder and a set of good winter tires and youll be set. In fact that was my exact plan (marauder included) with my car and truck till i decided to go travelling next year and just not buy anything.

Ditch the stang. A truck with 4x4 is too needed and useful for the part of the country that you are in.

seriously you need a 4 wheel drive around these parts...and the maruader is basically a crown vic, and the police seem to get around just fine in the winter. I'd love a marauder as a daily driver.

Honestly Zoran. In this situation I would sell the Mustang, keep the F-150 and wait for the Maruader until you move out and get situated. I know gas mileage on the truck is not that great at all, but you'll probably be spending that extra money or more insuring both.

The truck is newer and I would assume still under warranty. Trust me, one of these days you'll be able to get whatever you want.
