I posted a new topic about a week ago about Auto vs. Manual, well no one answered my questions!! I wanted to know how the auto performes compared to the manual. I know that in the manual you can leave rubber going into 2nd and chirp the tires going into 3rd. And awsome burnouts. Well how about the automatic. When it shifts gears is it capable of the same thing. And how about the burnouts. How well can it do them? I am looking toward the future with this purchase. I plan to keep this car forever so in forty years when I go to car shows with it, it would be nice to show it off. So I want to know how the auto compares to the manual? I am undided on what to get. I will be able to buy the car at z-plan and the difference is only $800 between the two transmissions so it is not the money I am concerned about. I think I am going to have my dad rent a manual V6 at Budget only $36 a day because I am not old enough to rent one and then go to a back road somewhere where there is no traffic so I can test drive it. I figure it is not a GT but I will get an idea of how I like the manual.

I own a automatic GT, now you cant really do burnouts on dry pavement, I have done a few brake stands, its powerful, but you dont really have the connection that you get with a manual.

So now I have an 05 GT auto to drive and now an 06 GT manual on order.
