When I was coming home evening on I-64 I notice a BMW was coming behind doing about 85 mph.

when he got behind he hit his lights then he past me he look at Mustang he give me the look , like my BMW is better than your Mustang, so I show him what my V6 had I was Running 95mph he try catch up beside me but he couldn't I had my Mustang up to 105mph but he try his best but he couldn't keep with, until I got off my exit, he was mad when I look over when I got off the exit
.

p,s kids don't try this at home.

Don't 318i BMW's have less than 140 hp? That's not really a great race

No offense dude but a 143hp 4-banger that weighs ~300kg more than the Mustang should be easy to beat, nothing surprising imho. But it's great that you enjoy your new pony

Actually, fyi, the 325i sedan is equipped with a standard 2.5-liter, I6, 184-horsepower engineand the 330Ci convertible is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, I6, 225-horsepower engine. Those are the available models. Either way, the Mustang had only (at best) a 16 hp advantage. Great!

No '04 318 is offered in the US. In fact, the 318 was never offered in the US in the current (E46) bodystyle. He was either a) up against a 325, b ) up against a European car being driven by a diplomat or tourist, or c) up against an older, (presumably E36) 318.

In any case, the 318 is dog slow. The 325 is usefully quicker. But you shouldn't be racing on the street, no matter how slow your opponent's car.

EDIT: Especially at 105 mph.

There's a mean, '67 Beetle that's been cruising the streets around here outside of DC, guess he thinks he's badazz what with his dual exhaust outlets and all. Perhaps you can come up here and wup him too...

Where did he ever say WHAT model of beemer he was racing? I keep seeing 318 and 325's from everybody else....Must have been a lot of people watching this race?!?! Anyway, he is enjoying the stang and that's all that really counts. (though it's best to keep the racing to remote straightaways).. B) B) B)
