No American sports car has the fit and finish of the Mustang...matter of fact IMO neither Dodge or Chevy can compare to any interior that Ford makes

That Slowmaro interior is a JOKE. My wife likes the looks of the Camaro, better then the Stang, but i told her i couldn't buy a Camaro because of that Chinsee interior. Yuk!

Camaro radio v/s Mustang radio

Just wanted to post these last few pic to compare, that camaro radio which reminds me of an old boom box at Walmart to the Mustangs. The brick red interior really shows fords Quality and is a ramdom pic off the web, i have charcole black with cashmere stripe

IDK what GM was thinking when they designed that interior they must have been real high because it looks like it's from space.

So true about looking like a boomxbox from walmart lol.

While the quality of the mustang interior is better by far. I think the Camaro is way more daring....possibly to it's detriment depending on your stance. Me I like the "design" not the fit and finish, which are two completely seperate things.

But the results of this thread will in no way be a suprise to anyone with half a brain.

Agreed, I went down with the F5 first hit and didn't find the interior any worse than the base 05-09 Mustang interior. To each there own though, until the introduction of the 2010+ Mustang body and interior many Camaro guys had the same opinion about the 05-09 Mustangs (aweful+aweful = crap)

I've had my 5.0 since Nov 1, 2011, and after driving the 5.0 for awhile i've been wanting to go test drive the camaro again, to compare performance and look that dash over again. My wife and i went out 2 nights ago and test drove the Camaro SS2, checked out the camaros dash lights at night and have to admit the camaros dash still looks sh*ty, but not quite as cheap as i remember, still the camaros interior was IMHO and (as the reviews state) poorly designed / maybe borderline cheap,,,,I'm extremely glad i bought the Mustang!!! lol, I can support the camaro reviews stating, the camaro has almost a big car ride with blind spots all over. also i'm not sure if the camaro was having a bad night or if i'm now used to the 3.73 gears in the 5.0? (i'm not a mechanic in any way), but the Camaro seemed almost slow, almost struggling to get up to speed ,426hp?
In the end I have no regrets with the purchase of the Mustang. copied these pics off another board, hope they don't mind. thought it was interesting to see both cars side by side. A 16 year old got the mustang for a present, drove over to the uncles owns the Camaro

I know styling is subjective but the Camaro interior design is worse than hideous imo. I have no idea how it got approved. Im not a big fan of the rear end of the Mustang but its livable. I could not look at those weird bug eye gauge openings everyday. Its looks to be from outer space. Perhaps its Klingon technology? Gm screwed this up big time. I dont think they could make it worse if they tried.

No joke, seriously, who gave the green light on the bug eyed gages and boom box radio, doesn't matter much, i have the 5.0 now, and it performs fantastic. I'm part engineer, over analyzing everything, (even after making the purchase, ha)

They took a risk styling the interior like that. Style over function.

Thats actually the whole car, the hardware is solid, but the ergonomics suffered for the show car look-a-like appeal.

It worked though, despite the pent up appeal, the F5 has been selling really good given the crowded the market conditions.

That said, I much prefer the Mustang's approach - design the car first then glam it up for the show circuit.

4 out of 5 Rednecks agree... The Camaro interior is way nicer than the Mustang's.

This was exactly my reaction seeing the first spy photos of the new Camaro interior. The interior looks like it was designed by an 11 year old sketching on the back of a notebook during a boring class in school. It reeks of 80's boom box shapes and video arcade hardware. It's not serious nor sophisticated at all. It looks very immature.

Sitting in the new Camaro instantly reminded me of how related it feels and looks to the cheap dash of the HHR which makes me feel I am sitting in tupperware.

Even resto-modders came up with better designs...
