So I pull up to a stoplight and there is a guy next to me in a bmw. I dont think anything about it because come on it is a bmw. We start to turn left and he guns it like he wants to race me. We pull up to the next stoplight and I am laughing because it is a BMW.

I rev the enging just to mess with the guy. The light turns green and I take off had two car lenghts on him in about 4 seconds. Come up to the next light and I am still laughing.

All of the sudden he comes up to the light like a bat out of heck and takes a right turn. His car fish tails a bit and I swear his right two tires came off the ground. I was laughing so hard because some jack hiney almost flipped his car trying to be Johnny Toughnut.....what a dumb hiney.

It would have been a different story if it had been an m3.

 

Did you notice what kind of BMW it was, I'm guessing it was a 3 series. Unless that guy had an M model, which I'm guessing he didn't, he really had no place trying to race a GT.

 

yeah it was a three series actually, I dont know what I would have done if he had flipped his car

 

I guess that would've given new meaning to "Killed a BMW" last night!

Seriously though, this is a good argument for knowing what the limits are of your car. Knowing how your car handles can be the difference between having fun and taking a ride in an ambulance while your car is towed to a body shop.

 

So I drove an M3 about 1 month before I got my mustang, it was a friend of mine's, not a new one, a few years old.

They are fast, but I think my 05 Mustang would take it.

So about a month after I was by his place and took him for a spin and we went for lunch. He said that his beamer would kick its hiney, I said, No way.

He bet me $10.00, so we get back to his house and he tosses me his beamer keys and say's we don't need to race, just take it for a spin and be objective. I trust your judgement. I agreed and went to open the garage.

I opened the garage and there was no M3 in there, just a brand spanking new M5!

I take it for a spin around the block and when I returned to his house I handed him $10.00

I got stinkered Hmm wonder why it changes this from su-ck-er-ed? what the heck does stinkered mean?

 

I guess your friend gotcha on that one Ian! I would gladly give someone ten dollars to let me drive an M5. So, was it worth it?

 

I had a guy in an M3 staring me down and then rev on me at the light, when I looked over and shook my head and gave it a good rev back his eyes got big and he faced forward and pretended like he didnt see me anymore, the light changed and I waited to see if he was going to gun it, but he just moved on slowly, thats the second time I had someone back down just by reving my engine, I love this car.

 

we were in my uncles blown F-150 in NYC and we smoked a 5 series, they are so-SLOW

 

Oh yes it was worth the $10!

And there is about a hundred or more horsepower difference between a standard 5 series and an M5.

The M5 would Smoke a stock GT, but for the money I could by a couple of Mustangs and a supercharger, then it would be interesting

 

new m5 is 500 horsepower, so ya, its a good ways aahead
