A bright yellow VW Golf (GTI?) with the usual too low drop, obnoxious muffler, and of course, the turbo stickers, revved on me early Saturday morning. 3 lanes each direction, divided median, and dead straight for about 1/2 a mile. What was he thinking?

Light went green and I think I had 2 car lengths before we were even through the intersection. Wasn't even close, but it was definitely satisfying watching him turn off at the first drive he could find!

(This was on a private road, with safety crews standing by, foaming the road, and an aircraft carrier emergency cable net ready to catch us in case of mishaps. Of course. Because street racing is baaaad.)

I got one last Friday night...

As i was walking to the parking lot, i saw a 06 Vette pulling out across the street at the chevy dealer. I believe its the managers personal car, has reg plates on it and ive seen it there just about every day. (Or maybe its got a bunch of bugs to be worked out?) He has a good couple minute start on me, i figured that would be the last i saw of him. I took my time on the way home and actually caught him due to traffic... well at the light he is in front of me and is the lead car. He guns it when it turns green, i let him leave for a bit... punched my GT into 2nd and got side by side with him while still doing the posted 40. The Vette slowly starts to accelorate and i follow suite, up to 65 in a 40. I slowly start to move up on him and he starts backing down, the light is red up ahead, afterwards there is another light about 7 car lenghts down... I'm in the left lane and the 2nd light i'm making a left, He stays in the right lane the merges left quickly for the left hand turn lane. I really wasnt sure if he was following me wanting to race or taking his time to get over... When the I get the left hand turn arrow i take my time and go, not over revving or chirping the tires when i get into 2nd. i'm around 300 feet off of the turn when he finally gets going and is screaming around the turn; all of the while i am proceding to turn right onto the expressway entrance and watch him in my rearview... i'm doing around 60 on the ramp (and no its not a 90Degree Onramp) and watching him, he must have really been exceeding the limit trying to catch up to me as he was on the apron and about 1" from being in the grass. I slow alittle and merge onto the expressway... Its dead no traffic or sight of any cars in the 4 Southbound lanes.... "High New on the Asphault Blacktop" i'm doing 60 in 4th when he gets along side of me, doesnt count or rev, but just guns it after around a second or so of being along sides me, i throw her in 3rd and am gaining on him like there's no tommorrow... slowly into 4th and i am literally staring to pull away from him, by the time i go to shift into 5th i'm around 3 to 4 car lengths ahead of him. I then notice i'm doing 135 MPH... with that and being aways ahead of him I tap my breaks twice to say thats it..... your finished. He comes along sides me, honks his horn and proceded to give me the finger, then he wouldnt look at me, and simply tried to get me to go again. I figured why not best 2 of 3... so slowly i gear down, downshifting to let him know to get off it a bit do a nice slow rolling start, i was in 3rd not sure what RPM but i know speed wise about 45? I gearing to 2nd while tapping the horn and floored the pony. Kicking the spurs all the way in i went through 4th and was again 2 car lenghts ahead of him. Afterwards that was it, my first C6 Kill

Not sure if it was luck or just a better driver experience, but...

I got another round,

He was on the highway on the way home tonight, or should i say i had it on cruise at 60 and he came up on me doing around 80, got right behind me and tapped his horn. Not knowing WTF i pulled over to let him by me, only to have him tapping his horn till i would look over as we were side by side. from 60 MPH in 4th it was pretty dead on, i slowly started to pull from him around 3500 rpm and was a full car and a half to two car lenghts ahead of him at 5600... with that i got off it and let it coast as we were comming up on traffic. No finger this time but a thumbs up and a wave.

It was the same guy and car...

so 2 06 kills on the same vette

-Sry edited i didnt realise i typed Z06 instead 0f C6, its been along day and i'm looking at stats of both right now to try and figure i did so good.

And for the record, i'm running 93 Octane CAI and have a Tune... also ran a 99.93 pass at 13.62 mph in the 1/4

So what are you feeding that Bullitt, that lets you beat up on C6 Vettes? And once tire spinning stops then driver experience doesn't matter, its all up to the car, and thats where the vette hammers you. In 0-100mph hes already pulled about 4 seconds on you. So lets see some mods that take you up to about 350 or 400 vette stompin hp.

Wait... now it was a Z06??? It stinks like in here. Is nobody else gonna call on this one?

If you got proof that your stang is that much of a beast then nice job.

Wait wait wait...he said he edited it to say C6, and NOT Z06. and it can very well be driver if he shifts too early, misses a shift, or just doesn't wanna go 135...I've beat some cars in mine that I problably shouldn't have. Doesn't mean its not possible.

Yeh yeh yeh i know, street racing is BAD. well just let it be known, i do do it, but only in places i KNOW are not dangerous, and most of the time with people i know. However, this case wasnt with someone i knew. It was the day before i left for school, so i took my car out for one last drive before i left.

i was on the garden state parkway in new jersey, and as soon as i pulled on i gunned it. at that point i didnt see any one, i just do that to mess around every now and then. when i did it though, i caught this guy in a 2000+ BMW 325i. so i sped up to about 80, and started to coast. then out of no where this guy flys past me. Sooooo, i gun it and catch up to him. i pass him as i reach like 135, mind you i dont normally go that fast. in fact this time was only time i ever got up there. so once i pass him and hit 135, i start to coast. so if you will, i did in fact "beat him," but from there on, we just kept taking turns passing each other for a few miles.

it honestly was the most fun i had driving in the longest time. we both got off at the same exit and stopped at the first light. we both rolled down our windows and complimented eachother and then went our seperate ways. Since then havent even driven my car, and cant wait to get back home. but, i wouldnt want any other memory as my "last drive" with my baby
