Hello....i recently was just out driving and i live in a smaller town so i pretty much know who drives what and anyway i pulled up to a stoplight next to a older kid that i knew of that drives a GTO.. Hes had his for awhile now and i know if it was stock i would smoke him...but his exhaust made me think he has something under the hood alittle more extra. Now is that just the way the GTO's exhaust rumbles like or is there a pretty good chance he beefed the thing up to make it sound like that.

sorry for long post but thought it was sorda interesting !!!

You wouldn't smoke him, unless you had some heavy mods. The 05 Mustang GT may keep up with the 04 GTO. But the 05 GTO, although heavier than the Stang, has 400HP and will likely walk the Mustang, stock vs stock, with equal drivers.

Unless you have mods its a waste of gas.
The Goat will win. That 8 grand difference
can put allot of mods on a Mustang though.

Why? Its heavier. All the tests I've seen have placed them neck and neck.

I don't believe I've ever seen a road-going GTO ever. Not sold in Canada right? Only on a lot in Buffalo.

Maybe I'll see one. They have everything in Ottawa, even the quasi-legal Smart Roadster.

Have you ever seen a GTO at a show in Canada? I'd like to have a look at one up close, or see one roll.
