Of course, individual cars from either manufacturer can be a lemon ("my cousin Bo's wife's sister's Camry was a piece of junk..."), but in aggregate, I'd give Toyota the overall nod.

That said, however, Ford is making huge gains in this area, regardless of whatever other woes they are enduring/inflicting upon themselves, and the differences have closed to small margins now, not the gaping chasms that there used to be.

Barely anyone is buying trucks these days so I don't think Toyota really cares about a bigger Tundra.

But they could build it. Remember this concept w/ 8.0L diesel from Hino trucks?

Ford, Only Ford and nothing but Ford.
Maybe we should go trade our F150 for a Tundra.
Maybe I should go trade the mustang in on a new Solara Vert.
Toyota can kiss our F150's butt.

ha you found it. Thats the pickup that can only do med duty lmao people as in job sites need a heavy duty truck not a med duty truck. That truck has the motor but no rear end rite for oil rigs or heavy hauling as in moffets and back hoes and seriously f 350 can pull crud load its awsome man i wanna new super duty

Sorry, but no.

Ram 1500 is available with 5.7L Hemi and 390 hp.

Silverado 1500 is available with 6.0L (367 hp) and 6.2L (403 hp).

Considering the f series trucks are still the best selling vehicle in the US (YTD), I hardly think they are "barely' selling. Also, for August the Silverado was the best selling vehicle so overall trucks are still great sellers. They just have gone down quite a bit from what they were.

Sales are down a lot. Back in 2004 Ford sold 940,000 F-Series. This year they'll be lucky if they sell 600,000.

My local Dodge dealer is offering 40% off on all 2008 Rams.

That really sucks for anyone with 2007 Rams. Or any 2007-08 truck for that matter. My truck is worth so much less than it should be now, and 40% off new trucks isn't helping me any at all. Oh well. I guess I'm driving this one into the dirt.

Same here. I bought my truck during employees discounts so I got the great deal, but it still lost so much of its value. I'm planing to keep it as long as it runs without any major problems. And with my driving (9,000 miles in over 3 year) that could be a long time.

9k in three years is great. I thought I was special with 20k this week after 2.5 years. Still no problems, but I need to take it in for that brake line recall though. I do use the brakes. Some times I forget I can't drive it like the Mustang. You should see 3 tons going hard into a curve, it is fun though.

I'll have to replace the alternator this winter. Truck keeps making some really annoying noise when its really cold outside; I was told that alternator needs to be replaced, it's a common problem on 2004+ F-150s V8.

I haven't had that, but its never cold here. I do get a butt load of brake dust on those front wheels though. And I'm not as **** about cleaning the truck as I am about the Mustang. My wife's Expedition looks like it has black/brown wheels on front and alloy on back because her brake dust is so bad. I swear I can't ride with her, she makes me nervous whipping that land yacht around city roads and parking lots.

I've seen the new Tundra's and the only one that looks good is the TRD version. But it can't match the Detroit Iron, no matter how hard they try.
Back in 05 I was going to buy a new Ram 1500. It was a silver single cab. But when I checked it, it was a bare bones one. Only options on it was the V8, 20" wheels, A/C and CD Player. That's why I turned it down. Glad I didn't get it, since fuel cost rose so much there after. I bought the 99 Protege instead, and later the Mustang and never looked back. If I decide to buy a truck, I would mostly consider an American made offering. They are cheaper, dependable and tough.

I've driven both a Sequoia and Expedition. The Sequoia felt underpowered, clumsy and underdamped. The Expedition was a little firmer, powerfull (5.4L ) and better footed on turns. The exhaust note on the Toyota sounded like our Rainbow vac and the Ford sounded considerably better. Overall, the Sequoia felt like my dad's 90 E250 van and those didn't come with front sway bars.
