First Kill!

Below is the results from the Autocross I did yesterday, which was my first time ever autocrossing. I finished second in my class and beat an 04 GTO.
The guy that finished first was driving a 86 Firebird he must have been an exceptional driver he was 3.5 seconds ahead of me But the saving grace is that I let the guy who won my event drive my Mustang through the course and he beat the firebird by half a second the first time driving a Mustang.

I have only been the one time but will probably run for points next year. I do think it is tough on the tires but hey I am trying to use up my stock MS tires so I can get some HIPO tires. As far as brake pads they are cheap only 40-50 bucks a pop and you'll probably only be using the fronts mostly.
If you are going to run competetively it would be best to get some DOT R Compound Tires specific to AutoXs example Competetion Tires they will shave about 3 to 4 second off your best times.
If you can't spring for an extra set of wheels then these are good Falken RT615 they are cheap and should last about a year of street and comp driving as long as your not to hard on them. I will probably be running them next year.
But man was it fun to take the Mustang to it's limits, I am hooked. AutoX is so much more fun than drag racing especially when you have a car that is pretty good in the turns.
This course was fast and I was able to stay in 2nd the entire course, topping it out in second at one point.
