Ok first of all it aint a drag race unless both parties are aware they are racing. That said, I am also blown away by this jerks ethical deficit.

here is how it went down....

I am on my way to target to get some stuff, and i pull up to a light, minding my own business and relaxing to some James Taylor, and this Mercedes V8 Kompressor pulls up next to me. I glance over at the middle aged female driver who is laughing and carrying on with the passsenger. I look down to see the V8 badging and think to myself "hmmm i wonder what kinda power a mercedes V8 makes?" Then the light turns green and the merc driver jumps on it (which i totally didnt expect) so being pulled out of the hole, and knowing i gotta play catch up i jump on it too pulling to within a car length of the rolling gold mine. I rip the tires shifting into second, and this is where it gets ugly. The Mercedes driver who is now realizing that i am putting up a fight swerves into my lane and cuts me off. I am now kinda bitter at the thought that this pompous witch thinks that she has won some kind of quazzi race, so i turn into the mall parking lot (where i was headed anyway) on the tail of this mercedes who proceeds to do 80 (i stayed at a respectable 15 mph) in a mall parking lot, whip a turn, and speed away like a freak.

What kind of bunghole does that?

BTW this Kompressor V8 is no slouch at 500 hp (although it is heavy as heck, and costs over 100,000.00)

I still believe that from a standstill, and given that both drivers play fair, and know that they are racing my modded stang would put up a heck of a fight.....

anyway...had to vent.....

 

Some people are so ignorant Don't worry. If she continues to drive like you described she'll be making a nice addition to a telephone pole sometime in the near future.

Considering you kept up with a 500 hp car from a disadvantaged start. I would say the Stang did very well! I've never been a fan of Mercedes anyhow.

 

I have noticed a huge increase in Mercedes jerks latley as well. They all think their cars are sooooo fast....even the slow ones. It's funny to me how some people out there that are so uneducated on cars simply think that because they paid so much for their car then it simply has to be superior in every way. Makes it all the more sweet when you smoke that hiney...

 

I had a guy a while back in a BMW Z3 driving like a jerk and thought he could pass me before the two lanes changed to one. I didn't even have to floor it and I just walked him. You could hear his engine straining to try and keep up. That would be like me thinking I could take on a 03-04 Cobra

 

BMW drivers and Honda Accord drivers think their cars are the fastest things on the road. The BMW drivers always ride your hiney in the left lane and the Honda Accord drivers through town zip through as if they own the darn road. My most hated car drivers are definteley BMW drivers, they think their poo don't stink. :notnice:

man I agree with u johnny....my mom's friend had an open house the past 2 weekends (she's a builders wife and the house is almost a million dollars), and some of the people coming through were HORRIBLE! we all had to tell them what not to touch and turn on...they were touching personal property of theirs and trying to open things that were locked....one of them said a rude remark RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER! and about the benz...everyone was supposed to park on the street, but I see a benz pulling up in the driveway like they own the place or something, and I saw 2 or 3 sl500's....GOLLEE!!!!!!! snob-**** jerks!

 

Some people around here buy really expensive cars and then live in Section 8 housing (mostly old run down apartments). My wife and I always get a kick out of that. Waste your money on a really expensive car and you can't even afford a garage to keep it nice. DUH!!!

yeah he thinks his BMW 740 will still be able to take down my Cobra II, after a 347 stroker swap.... little does he know.

and trust me.... it WILL be sweet

 

His 740 won't stand a chance. The weight differences would be huge!!

 

we were arguing on that yesterday. i told him his 293hp car was 5000 lbs, he said, nooooo its in the 4000 range. he checks the manual 5375lbs

and with (soon) 400hp in my 2700lb car, no one will stand a chance Muahahahahaha!

 

the 740's are veeerrryyyy heavy cars. Seems like he needs a Mustang if he wants a sports car!

 

This may be a little off topic, but this post reminded me of a funny incident that happened to me a few years back, at the time I had a comet GT, well this car was not by any means nice on the exterior, but under the hood I had a 351 windsor, 4spd, and 4.11 rear, the exhaust was just right, quiet but throaty while at idle, anyway a rich snotty kid in a brand new monte carlo ss pulled up next to me at a light, he started reving his motor, and pointed ahead, the light was red, and while waiting for the green light I noticed a state trooper sitting 4 or five cars behind, so when the light turned he gassed on it, and I just eased ahead normally, it was unfortunate for him as he was immediately pulled over, it was the funniest thing ever..I should have tried to warn him I guess, anyway, if this happens to you again, letem launch, they can afford the insurance hike, as well as the ticket...lmao...
