Ya, a 3800lb super charged 6.2L Cuda would be great. Be surprised if dodge does it...

I think it is coming, many auto insiders have seen challenger mules with what sounded like superchargers

Question Question - Camaro vs Challenger

I am looking to buy a car. I have come across a 2010 Challenger SRT8 and a 2011 Camaro 2SS. Both have 6 speeds, are orange with black stripes and are fully loaded. The price is exactly where I want to be. What are your thoughts?

As for background, I have a 1991 Camaro with a 5.7 and a 1998 Camaro Z28. This will be in addition to the 2 I currently have.

But back on topic i love the challengers. They just ooze the pure muscle bound sexyness that defined muscle cars of yesteryear. If they were so big and heavy it wouldve been a much harder choice between the mustang and chally. I do like the camaros but only from sideline perspextive. Things look friggin sweet! But alas, the design is its ultimate downfall. While great looking, it really plugs up the interior. Very dark, almost cave-like. Tons of blindspots, mailslot windows, weird ergonomics, four very important gauges are blocked by the shifter (although i do understand the link to the past here) and it just feels heavy. Ive never enjoyed any seat time in the new camaros. Had some rides in a chally, great experience. But when i sat behind the pony emblem on the steeeing wheel, i was just blown away!
I agree- the camaro profile is great, but I wasnt thrilled about either end- but sat in one for a few minutes, and IMO it was the worst interior/seating/visibility Ive ever sat in, made me fell kinda claustrophobic, but not from being tight, but from being a big empty black space... the high beltline of the mustang is tolerable, but the camaro's extra inch or two really made me feel like a midget in a mack truck or something...hated the interior more than I could describe. If GM fixes that interior up nicer, that car will fly off the shelves- at the auto show I was waiting by the chevy booth for the wife and kids to meet up, was surprised I wasnt the only one that didnt like the interior...that said glad GM brought it back.
the challenger interior was 'ok', I'd rate it a little lower than the 05-09 mustang, but close and not disliked at all (10-up mustang interior I'd give a '10'- I dont dislike my 06, but the '10 interior is definitely a LOT nicer to look at and 'feels' more comfortable- best looking steering wheel ever too).
I think the challenger is by far the best looking new car on the road today, like it as much as the 05 mustang, if not more... only bad thing, its still a Dodge, and Ive still got a bit of distain for their quality, know a few guys with mopars that had crazy issues... a girl at work had a bellhousing break in her Durango- never off roaded or anything, but broke on the way to work, her husband was told it wasnt a uncommon problem- HUH? my old 81(yep i still hold a grudge) dodge pickup left a bad taste in my mouth- that **** thing would stall for no reason, not start till battery was under 11 volts, never could figure out what was wrong with their crap electronic 'lean burn' ignition, repolaced everything twice... last time(was under 2 yrs old) it almost got me in a wreck, pissed off, screw warranty, got it home rippped the 16,000 mile engine out, dropped a 69 396 chevy in it, was a dead reliable daily driver for another 10 years. that was my last dodge, still the biggest reason theres 3 S197s here and no beautiful chalenger in the mix...

The big Dodge is definitely the best looking of the three pony cars, but dang, it is big. while it hides it's size pretty well, I always feel like I'm shrinking when I walk up to one.

I saw a silver SRT8 challenger yesterday trying to make it's way through the snow here. It was a pretty funny sight really, the big 20 inch wheels and summer tires spinning in helpless defiance of the laws of physics, the exhaust growling like a frustrated dog on the wrong side of the fence from the mailman haha.

But, it got me thinking what a good looking car the chally is. Especially an SRT8 in silver, I don't think I've ever seen that combo before. Like it's been said a million times, if only they weren't so big and heavy.

I might be wrong but isn't it already confirmed that the next generation SRT8 engine will be a supercharged 6.2? I coulda sworn I read that somewhere.

I can't even fit inside the new Camaro without my head hitting the roof. The Challenger isn't much roomier inside considering how massive it is. If I were forced to pick I would probably pick the Camaro and just lean the seat back or something. The Challenger looks cool, but it's almost too plain jane looking.
