They didn't seem too positive of the Bullitt. Perhaps they should compare the GT500 with the Challenger?

You can do a lot for $5400.00 ,The Dodge boys should be ashamed of themselves. Some guy wanted to race my G/T 500 with one of those boy would he have been disappointed 4 year newer car and that the best they have..THAT'S BAD

I'd just like to see how the Bullitt would do w/same Eagle F1 tires the Challenger had in terms of slalom, skidpad, and braking stats...in 18"s of course...

I will just have to invest my $5400.00 in a supercharger! That will make my odds allot more even

well, at least they did make sure to mention that the gt500 was still quicker than the bullitt and challenger Some extra power outlets, cupholders, air vents and leg room would be nice though....but not for 5k

Thanks for the link. That was a fun video and an interesting article. It matters not to me whether or not a Challenger is faster than a Bullitt or if it's a better street car. I got a Mustang because Ford finally decided to make a car that looked like a Mustang. I accept it's limitations (live axle) just like some people close their eyes when they buy a Charger. I did enjoy the comparison, though.

The comparisson seems to be accurate, what it is obviously expected given the respective drivetrains, although Edmunds seems to have missed a vital point: unlike a Mach 1 the theme of the Bullitt has never been about high quarter mile numbers but the autocross.

It would interesting to see how the Challenger with its extra 600 lbs would do on a shalom test vs. the Bullitt.

You are right, thanks. I missed that detail.

Would you know if the production Challanger has IRS?

about time dodge! at Least it isn't a 4 door! hehe
That big hemi must suck back the fuel. And we thought our stangs were heavy-sheesh!
It has the retro look, but seems as if they left the air chuck on too long(car looks puffy). The 4 extra years of engineering didn't seem to put it leaps and bounds ahead of the mustang-Im opinionated tho.
I still would rather have my stang-hard to beat good looks!

If I won a new challenger..... Just think of all the stuff I could buy when I sold the dodge

Next, they should put Challenger R/T vs Shelby GT500KR.

That would make as much sense as this comparison did.

Not comparable at all. Two different classes in my mind. Lets see what a dodge small block does against a ford small block.

Seems to me the puny V8 Bullitt put the big HEMI Challenger to shame

I was reading this exact thread on BON. Edmunds is so stupid, its laughable, and here's why!! I have cut and pasted a post from BON from SVT_MAN and put quotations around it, so its not my words, and I'm giving credit where credit is due. Edmunds should just stop doing reviews now after this fiasco!! Read below for a laugh.

From BON member SVT_MAN: "http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...rticleId=123327

What's even worse, and I just saw this - if you read this article, they were very positive about the Bullitt before. What they say in their initial review doesn't match up with this Challenger vs. Mustang comparo.

For example, in the Bullit review:

- Comfortable ride
- Easygoing road manners
- Fantastic engine-turned aluminum dash
- 67.2-mph trip through the slalom

In the Challenger v. Mustang comparo, they said this:

- Harsh, unrefined ride
- Live-axle
- Austere interior
- 66.1-mph trip through the slalom

They lost a whole mile per hour through the slalom? Give me a break. Unless they were done on different surfaces, that is just bogus IMO.

It's almost as if they manipulated how they looked at items to favor the Dodge ... "

They're review is pathetic!!!
