if the ruff had won I'd have been very shocked

 

that ruf is prob one of the top 5 funnest cars in Gran Turismo 4... if funnest was a word.

But i would take the Veyron over it for sure.

I like the darn size difference between the two. The Bugatti makes the Yellow Bird look tiny!

 

My yellowbird in GT4 is faster then a stock veyron. runs 9's in the 1/4 mile

 

Wow. The veyron sounds like a frickin jet.

 

i'd like to see the veyron handle some curves.

 

what kind of world are we living in now that has cars that can go speeds only dreamed about? That's sweeeeet!

 

I saw a Bugatti at a dealership in Vegas. Strange looking car imo.

Ever tired to race a Yellowbird on GT4 at full boost? Wave bye bye to your rear tires after a couple of laps....and the brakes are worthless

 

Yeah the car is not one that you use in races against the AI. But for split screen or testing where your tires never wear out.. the car is a blast. And the brakes aren't worthless. I should post a lap or the "ring" with that car. ah so much fun.

Veyron, no question. At full speed the tires last for like 15 minutes. Funny thing is, also at full speed, the fuel only lasts 11 minutes.

 

I'm not a huge fan of either since the Bugatti is a one million dollar exercise in going fast in a straight line and the Carrera just doesn't hit the mark as a proper Porsche. (a fixed roof car with a flat 12 in the back would have been far, far cooler, more appropriate for the marque, and easily as fast) But if these two were my sole supercar choices after I hit the lottery, I'd take the Porsche. In the real world the German is just a better car.

That said I would rather have a slew of other supercars, including Porshe's own 959, a Ford GT, a F40, etc. Heck, from a strictly Ford perspective for Veyron money I could buy a Ford GT, a decent driver 427 Cobra...a real one mind you, and still have a bit more than a quarter mill left over for gas.

 

Werd, the ring is thirteen miles of computer generated bliss, I gotta load up GT4 and see what I did with a bone stock 05 GT on the ring, can't remeber now.

 

No car on Earth can touch the Veyron.

As to arguing that the Veyron can't corner? Nonsense. It corners as well as ANY car doing 255 MPH. Oh wait, there IS no other car that can do 255 MPH.

The point being that at "normal" speeds, the Veyron can corner with the best of them.
