'68 GT500KR for me, though. Best car of all time, IMO. Perfect combination of looks, performance, and overall kick-assness.
Make mine any bodystyle in any color with an options. Hell, it's the first thing I'll do if I win the lotto, followed by a nice house in San Diego County and 4 years at UTI or WyoTech (or equivalent).

come on guys 429?
that thing was a boat anchor.
428 CJ Mach all the way. sure it doesnt have the luster of the Boss name. but it's fast as hell and a hell of a lot cheaper.
not saying i wouldnt accept one if it was free. just isnt worth the pretty penny it costs.
gt350R wasn't half bad either

Yeah the poll seems a bit skewed.. if it was the best mustang ever, it would include every model and year. I guess the other category comes into play and just post your thoughts.
With a big block 390ci engine. Why I think it was the best, because it was my first car. And the first car I modified with my mechanic uncle. I won a great many races with this car and put several chevy, pontiac cars to shame.

AFBlue- Now you are just playing with my emotions!!! Putting together my favorite things about a Mustang! (Sidewinder, Grabber Blue, Mach 1, Shaker)... The thing is that I never even thought of this.

Until Ford puts another purpose built race engine in a Mustang I'll stick with the boat anchor.

I forgot about my beloved 1970 Sidewinder Mustang!!! It was only a decal job, but it has some mystery to it, and it looks awesome
