99 grand am gt vs. 02 mustang v6

one of my friends has a stock 99 grand am gt and i'm about to buy a stock 02 mustang and its got a v6
both cars have auto trannies

just wondering which car would be faster?

According to Edmunds.com:

Grand Am GT:

HP: 170
TRQ: 195
Wght: 3066 - 3166 lbs (depending on four door or 2 door)
0-60: 7.8

Mustang V6:

HP: 190
TRQ: 220
Wght: 3066 lbs
0-60: 7.3

Overall:
Mustang is quicker hands down!
