2007 Mustang GT/CS vs 2010 Taurus SEL
WARNING: If you test drive a new ford Taurus, your going to love it! Yes they are really that good Ford fans! And also very easy on the eyes. They nailed it on this one. Thanks again FoMoCo. CalStang
+1 to what CalStang said. Every time I see a new one, I think "Man, that's the best-looking Taurus ever." If I had more than one kid, I'd be driving one now.
But if you need a 4-door, go for the Taurus, and yes, get the SEL.

I am a bit biased, but I am impressed daily with all the technical wizardry, power and handling of the wifes VR6 4Motion VW. Laugh all you want about it being a Volkswagen, but it has a very stylish, aerodynamic body and the underpinnings of an Audi Quattro. Chose it over the Caddy and the Taurus. Never thought I'd own a VW, but is no Beetle.
Well after a long decision making process the 07 had to go and I went with the 2010 taurus .....
Here are a couple of pics ... this car is amazing ... like I said in the original post .. they are completely different ... but amazing ...

I live by myself but if the Mustang didn't have the room i needed i sure would go with the 2010 Taurus. My Dad has a 2010 Taurus Limited and i get to drive it from time to time. It is a 'Great" car in every way. It has good power and is the 'perfect' full size car.
Your Taurus looks great!!!

At the end of the day, I believe as you age and become more "mature" something like this Taurus can really provide a pleasing driving experience. I'm really all about the SHO but when budget gets factored in, theres just no room in my wallet for a $40,000 Ford that will lose 65% of its value in 2 years or less. I would most certainly consider a used one be it SEL or SHO. The Mustang never becomes not fun, it just has more to do with if an older person wants to put up with the Mustangs shortcomings on a daily basis.
Sweet car man, good luck.
