2007/2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP....

Looks like pontiac is trying to put something with a little more **** in the same price range as the Mustang GT. Granted it is a 4dr and weighs a little more, with a little work these could be a dangerous against a stock GT. Atleast according to paper stats.

Not too many reviews out there on them though and I dont think I have seen one yet.

Here is a link to vehix that has something on them.

Well, it's a front wheel drive platform and with that heavy 5.3 V8 hanging over the front wheels it's gonna handle like crap. The weight distribution is going to be absolutely horrible. Also GM is still using 4 speed automatics both manual and automatics in the Mustang are 5 speeds. Closer ratios = better acceleration. The Grand Prix GXP is also as heavy or heavier than a Mustang GT.
Also the torque steer with that GXP is going to TERRIBLE. Can you imagine trying to launch something like that? That V8 is going to completely overwhelm the FWD system and do nothing but spin all over the road.
It's not even going to be close.
Also notice that GM needs to use 5.3 litres to get the same hp and torque as our 4.6s?

I believe this car is basically the same as the SS LIMPala. I've handed a few of those their perverbial posteriors already. They really just aren't anything to worry about. Once again, I say GM has one engine and it's the "LS" series engine. Their supposed 303hp with the 5.3 didn't seem very impressive to me at all during these encounters.
