2006 s/c V6 vs 2002 GT

Both are automatic

This is a quarter mile race, here's my mods:

Ford Racing rear end with 4.10 gears, true dual exhaust with x pipe and GT mufflers, J&M rear lower control arms, eaton supercharger, and a custom dyno tune.

The 2002 GT:

K&N CAI, and tune.

I'm pretty sure I can take it but I wanted to know what you guys thought. Thanks!

PS: this is also our first trip to the drag strip!

He's roughly 220 to the wheels. You should beat him if you can hook.

If you're on street tires, dont bother launching above 2.5k at most. Do you spin really easy? If you do then try to ease into the throttle. Try to figure out what works best for you. It'll be a blast win or lose.

I don't spin too easy, but yeah sometimes it doesn't hook :/ I'be been wanting to get new rear upper control arms to go with the lower ones. We haven't set up a time yet, because he JUST bought the car. I'm going to have drag radials by then, I just don't know much about them so I haven't bought any yet...Also it's his first stang, his last (only)car was a stock cobalt 4 door, so I don't think he's gotten used to it yet..

If you have drag radials then it'd be no contest, cou could launch way harder than he ever could. I spun at 2.5k and I'm up in Colorado. If he doesn't get some serious time behind the wheel then it should be pretty easy for you. If you put it in perspective a new 05-09 GT puts out 305 (310?? Not quite sure) and those walk my car pretty easy (2000GT) so if you're putting down as much hp as one of those GTs make at the crank than it should be a cake walk.

if both drivers are equal ( this is why these are hard to answer when they are close) he is going to come of the line 1st or darn close with his torque. Its going to be close, now if he had gears in it then hmm.

Well his only has about 302 tq, ( I don't remember my torque from the dyno sheet, because no one asks) but it is over 302...but his car is lighter...do you guys know of any good brands of drag radials, and what size etc I should go with?

If he just got the car he doesn't know how to drive it...I'm guessing ..and as built up as you are if you have had it dynoed I'm sure you know your car better. Its a drivers race in my eyes and I'm putting my money on you. New edge gts stock are very sluggish. He might have the hole shot but when that boost kicks in it's over
