And why would Pontiac make a G6 convertible? Am I the only one who thinks that is the most boring car on the market?
To try and lure the younger drivers into buying their cars. And yes, the G6 has a rather boring design, but it sure beats any Saturn.

Well I think i'd be classified as a younger buyer and there's no way in heck i'd pay for one of those. I don't think it has any appeal whatsoever to younger people. It isn't fast, it doesn't look cool, and it is nothing new. If anythng it would appeal to the empty nest 45years+ crowd.

The only problem I have with the G6 is that it's too tall for how wide(or not so wide) it is. Other than that it's a fairly descent car. My wife was considering buying one but when she saw it in person she said "EWW, heck NO!" But as far as the folding hardtop goes, I'd love one. If there was a aftermarket one for a mustang I'd buy it... They are just so sexy!

i had looked at the tiberon se and it wasent a bad car especially for its price and what it comes with but i would have to take the mustang over it, the mustang is cheaper, much better looking, and not to mention almost 50 more hp.

The tiburon would be a cool car if it was rear wheel drive.

The was initial quality, lets wait a year or so to see how relible it remains.

A friend of mine has a Tyburon V6 and he is a memeber of some Tiburon forum and everyone on there says as soon as the car gets like 50-60k miles the car just falls apart.
I'm an Admin on the biggest web Tib forum. I don't know of anyone you has had their car "fall apart."

And yes JD Power has had Hyundai above Toyota.

I like some of the Babe's they used in some of the commercials. Good looks on the car except Hyundai emblems, everyone I knew had one it just fell apart or died fast.

The Tiburon (hardtop) convertible looks just as fugly as the Lexus SC430 - glad they didn't produce it. Plus, go check out the '05 V6 rental 'vert video - then vote on which you would rather have.

My wife bought one, she likes it. it handles really well, but compaired to my GT.....no contest in acceleration and pure head popping.

And don't ever order merchandise from NewTiburon.com. Three years ago, I ordered a Tuscani diecast replica from them, but after 10 months, I never received it. The girl in charge of the merchandise claimed there was a falling out between a couple of members running the online store, so the inventory was screwed up. Regardless of whatever excuse they pulled out of their hineyes, I filed a complaint over at Ripoff Report. In the end, I got my money back, and I was convinced never to do business with them again.

Well, I just visited NewTiburon.com, and it looks like they no longer have an online store.

Someone was feeding you a line. There was only one member that ever ran the store. There was never a woman involved. They did have some problems with the store in the beginning, so I do believe your story. The site has grown and changed quit a bit. We have some very good site sponsors, just like here. I'm sorry you had that problem.

Well, it seems that Consumer Reports has had a change of heart when it comes to the Tiburon. Their latest car guide has it on the Recommended list. Seems that the QC level has dramatically improved ever since the GK body was first introduced.

BTW, Jeff, do you know off-hand how many Tiburon owners have the 4-cylinder model?

... With its sleek design and considerably low price, it's practically a poor man's Ferrari.

...All you need to do is remove the Hyundai emblems, and you'll have people asking if the car's Italian...

I respect the fact that you like this Hyundai, but...
in reply to the first phrase: major overstatement of the year, a Hyundai Tiburon a poor man's Ferrari ? Heck no.
In reply to the second phrase: I come from that part of the world and I can guarantee that no one in Italy would think that the Tiburon is Italian, no way.

I'd say it was almost half.

To the comments re: a poors mans Ferrari, I had been asked several times if it was a Ferrari. When I had my custom exhaust installed the old guy in the shop said it sounded like an older Ferrari. There are several Tibs in the States that are pushing 400hp.
