i am sick of GTO vs. mustang, how about Mustang vs. Corvette

 

Cobra GT500 in a second. It wins in looks, now for handling, we don't know yet. I'm more than satisfied with its straightline power.
Seeing it's basically a detuned Ford GT port, getting 550 HP will be manegable, and relativley cheap to get.

But with our GT's pulling .89g's, our GT500 will be pulling at LEAST .93
That'll make me real happy and confident when carving corners at the track

 

i think the vette is the only good thing chevy has going for them, but i hate the 6.0 , should of stuck with the LS1

 

Hands down the GT is the best bang for the buck. I love the looks of the Cobra better but you could mod a GT with all that saved cash far beyond 450 hp. Just my two cents.

 

I voted for the Shelby, but who know what Chevy will have under their sleeves (for the vette) when '07 rolls by

 

I voted for the GT as the same that doug did, bang for the buck and ease to modifywith for still less than a GT500 while making more than 450 hp...the price of the GT500 will be out of reach due to greed, why aren't we seeing price hikes at other dealers like Dodge and Chevy like we do with the Mustang?

 

The cobras motor is a 5.4 DOHC from what I hear and it is a very expensive motor, around 17k i believe. The motor is also a complete tuner motor, changing pulleys and or blowers can yield big big power.

 

hard choice, I saw the z06 at an auto show, and it is a pretty sharp lookin car...i chose the shelby though.

 

Oh you don't want to know. The new Z06 supposedly can hit 200+ mph, have around I forget I think it was between 500-600 horse, run 0-60 in 3.8 and 11.4 in the 1/4 mile, I believe from what I read. I forget exact #'s :scratch:, I read it a long time ago.

i hate the new vette nose, looks like viper, they should of just pulled the lights from the 04 and bolt in the flush lights, same dimensions, just flush like the race vette in gran turismo 3

 

Yeah I agree, but the darn GM engineers and auto designers seem to think that uglier is nicer??

Ahh.. your poll is a little messed up. There is no '05 Corvette Z06, the Z06 will be a '06 when it is released some time in August.

 

I had to vote for the Z06, performance wise, it's the best of the trio.

I voted Z06. It's a sick car. It's a race car that's street legal.

the Z06 and GT500 are nice cars, but they dont suite Arin. Arin would have to go for the 05 'Stang GT. personally, i dont need to have the flash and of a GT500 or Z06 (though i do really like both cars)

i mean, im already so freaking amazing, i dont need a GT500 or Z06 to stand out a humble GT will make up for the ofverall greatness that is "Arin" plus insurance would kill me faster that Homer Simpson could wipe out a platoon of Donut Warriors from planet coffee on iehter the Z06 or GT500.

T-tops leak, cause an amazing amount of flex, and are easily broken into, plus they would look like crap on a 05, think about it. i think the basic gt should have tha shelby motor.
