Anyone own one or had a chance to drive one or go up against one. I know with CAI ,catbacks and tune I only trap around 104mph. and my best quater mile et is about the same. I also heard that some of these cars dynoed around 300 rwhp and with a ecu upgrade 350 is possible. I own an 04 325i and its no where near this fast and I had come to the conclusion I could not afford to go fast in a BMW, but that might have just changed, but I still gotta have my stang

Hi to all, personally I am fed up with reading comparos of these rather uncomparable cars,but recently a Polish newspaper made a test of GT vs. 3-series.
Surprisigly they liked the Mustang better.They admitted that BMW wins almost all handling categories, but they would choose Mustang because 'it's a vehicle for a real car enthusiast' 'more fun to drive' 'stylish' 'sounds wonderful'
'for the price of the BMW we would rather import a GT500 from the States'
also they praised the suspension and said it handled very well with Polish bumpy roads.After reading it abusive words towards Ford Motor Co. come to my mind, but I won't say them aloud (You know very well what I think about not selling Mustang in Europe
)
as far as the newspaper's performance numbers are concerned both cars made identical 0-100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds (both cars were equipped in automatic transmissions)
Here are the pictures :

yep..trust me..at least in the ny/nj area....
a 335i coupe rolls down the street no one will care..
its a nice car.but styling is common.....
heck, there is a 650i in my garage and my black GT gets way more attention!

i'd rather have a mustang over the bimmer.
wow another luxury car...blah. living in LA/Hollywood u see a bunch of those luxury cars. Everyone and their brother has one.
and if u guys actually aspire to own a bmw one day, it's kinda sad. i chose my gt over the 3-series. the 328xi was just too sleepy.

BMW's are very good cars...far from a BAD car....

solid german performance car that has become very COMMON...as common as a honda accord....
i owned 2 of them....e36 m3 and e46 m3...so i get the right to speak about a Bmw
