Hi there! I apologize if this has already been asked, but I'd like to know what you guys think. I have an 05 GT stick with: mgw v2 shifter, jba long tubes, o/r H pipe, ud pullies, Bama tune, and some suspension work and wondered how it would do against a stock 2011 challenger r/t with a 5.7L (357hp?) and a automatic? I'm thinking the Stang should take the Chally no problem....any thoughts?

 

Doesn't the 5.7 have improved HP for 2011.
I think it is 372 for the auto.

 

I had a 2009 Challenger R/T six speed manual. Even for there size they can move very quickly. With your mods I think it would be close depending on driver. A stock 05 would lose.

 

I'm thinking the auto will be his demise...

 

Easy win for da mustang,da challenger is way to heavy and with da mods no question about it...

Found out it's a 09 Challenger (bone stock with 22" inch rims), less hp than a 11!

 

Stock and with 22's? I don't think you'll have much of a problem.

 

IF it has 22" Rims then they are not Stock. Biggest rim from the factory is 20"

 

I think he means stock with 22 inch rims. But Yea the mustang would take the cake

I'm thinking the R/T, especially with his auto v. your manual. Of course the 22" wheels will handicap him and your mods will help you. I think it would be a close and interesting race.

 

so a stock 06 vs a stock 0 what ever challenger, the challenger would win?

 

I beat a bone stock challenger rt with a axle back only 3 valve, it was from a roll. Your car with full bolt ons should be a 12.85-13.20 car and your racing a stock 14 second army tank. I've had plenty of seat time in a challenger and just wasn't impressed by a stock rt at all.

 

yea I was wondering stock vs stock. What is the hp per pound ratio for both?
