Pretty similar HP ratings, similar curb weights....

I wouldn't mind being able to beat a Cobra with a CAI and tune, that would be alright with me!!

 

yea i wondered about that to my neighbor has one and i need to compete with him lol

 

the 2005 GT is faster then a 2001 Cobra and prob handles better regardless of the fact it doesn't have IRS...it has a 100x better chassis.

Even though the majority of 05 owners run faster stock then 2001 cobras.. doesn't mean it would be a walk in the park. Prob be a drivers race since the margin is so small.

 

I would take the Cobra.

From a performance standpoint, I'd probably go with the GT, but then again, in a few years it becomes "just anouther GT"

There's something special about a snake on your fender that you can't explain Sometimes you gotta have something extraaa special

 

I kinda agree..... but I also think that at times, the Snake means more to the people that don't have it more so than to the people that do have it. Because for the Snake owner, the first time his Snake gets spanked by a "regular GT", they never get over it LOL!!

Now of course, if we were talking about an '03/'04 Cobra, that's a completely different story.

 

03 cobra vs 06 GT...id take the cobra any day
although premium fuel wouldnt be cheap either

and when i whooped people i'd give them a snake bite kit and say " you just been bit" haha

 

I would take Cobra too.
