'04 Orange mach 1 or '05 Yellow GT?

Thanks everyone for your advise. I think I will hold out until I can be for sure, but I really love the '05, and I dont want to be sorry for "settling" on anything else.you know! Thanks again

I chose the mach after seeing the 05 and the seats are no where near as comfortable as the mach and the bolstering is not there. I would wait to test drive an 05 before making my decision but don't sell it short. Its your decision just as mine took me to the mach. They are both great cars.

The Mach 1 is a very nice car and can be bought for less than that. I bet you could buy a new one for close to that if you could find it. If you like it, offer him 21000 and see what he says. The '05 is supposed to be more refined, etc. But, the Mach is a very special car. You will see tons of '05 GTs and very few Mach 1s.

NEVER EVER get a manual if you rather have an auto. You will end up resenting it every shift you make.
Secondly the 05 will depreciate A LOT less, so it's a better investment. Better yet a less worse investment
And don't forget the 05 is a MUCH MUCH better car than the SN95 will ever be. I love both my SN95's and I will probably never sell them, but if the opportunity arrives I will get an '05 in a flash.
Finally yellow is even prettier than orange. Especially prettier than competition orange because in my taste that is not really orange but more a orangy red. 96 Tangerine now that was orange!
You made the right choice I'd say

Eric:
Your not just talking about every other sn95. Have you had any seat time in either of these cars? As far as depreciation is concerned here is retail for my car with 10k on the odometer.

Thats where that price is coming from. Thats not what I would get for it but 18150 is what they are going for black book here for a car that is a 2003 considering I paid 23569 out the door no money down and no trade I think it has done just fine. With only 8XX models on a 40 th anniversry mach I think it isn't a valid argument considering 60% of the 05's will be gt's..... Don't buy a car for an investment unless its a true classic you will lose.
As far as performance numbers I have yet to see quarter mile times and skid pad numbers from this car.
Interior quality is still up in the air as far as long term is concerned but I like the sn95 look better minus the gauges. Again my opinion. As far as color is concerned I like my zn yellow but she is obviously smitten with the orange. So the only thing I agree about is the auto vs stick question. Finally its your decision give both cars a fair shake and see what you like best.

F-1 Cobra: Thanks for the exhaust video...much appreciated. As far as everyones opinion............I do appreciate it. I do like orange but I like yellow better. I had a zn yellow 2000 special edition cougar and I got stars everywhere I went. I had painted tail light covers, tint,it was off the hook. I even won 2nd place at the 2001 Ford Falcons Club in Missouri. So I think I would be happier with the '05, plus I can get the automatic. I might go test drive the Mach 1 just to see. I will let you all know what happens.
Crazyhorse, thanks, I think I will offer them around $21 for it and see what happens.

Where did you find that number I thought I read it being 60 percent recently. Hmmm either way that is still 57600.00 gts based on 180k

Only approx. 32% of 05's will be GT's according to the order guide and this consistent with past years models.

With driving in traffic alot, you will want the automatic and the better build quality and comfort of the 05. Having a quiet car to drive in versus a car that rattles and such makes a big difference in the commute.

Don't forger the 05 has a new suposedly better shifting 5 speed auto. Yes a 5 speed auto. I like manuels but I drive a truck all day and when I hope in a manuel car I keep shifting into 2nd instead of first and I don't use the clutch in my truck except to start so I keep forgetting to clutch my car. Still haven't made up my mind on auto or manual still thinking
