I have bin waiting for my mustang GT since May. When I ordered, there were zero GT’s on any lots. Months and months went by and my dealership never gave me news of the car. About three weeks ago I finally got the news that the VIN number came in. So I called the dealership today for news and they said the car will not come in until the mid to the end of October. So I went and looked at an other dealership and there I saw a 06 V6. I want to now why I have to wait an other two months when there is 06’s arriving on lots, I am really getting impatient. javascript:emoticon(':scratch:')

 

If they have the VIN number, the car should have a schedule date and unless you are in Timbuktu, i would think you would have the car a little sooner than that.

 

You can ask them what the build date is. You can expect the car 2 to 3 weeks after that. You are this far along in the process, you mightas well stick it out. The fact that there are 06 V6s on the lots has nothing to do with when you will get your GT. Ford is only building about 20% GT right now so it is still a wait to get one. We could go into the whole process and all the potential reasons why your car has taken so long, but at this point I don't think it matters, you just want it soon. It is coming!!!!

 

Thanks for the info the way on the delays regarding my 06 GT. I will try to get a build date on Monday (I didn't know that you could get one once you havea VIN). It is true that I'm frustrated, but most of that has to do with the lack of follow-up and overall knowledge on the part of the car salesman. This dealership which is in the Dallas area doesn't seem to know the first think about being responsive to their customers. Thanks again for your help.
