I have a build date 8/15. I will be moving to another state prior to the car being completed. Is it possible to have the dealer arrange to have the car delivered to another dealer in another state?

Once a car is scheduled, we can not add a drop ship to another dealer.

Good luck with your new car.

Ed,

I'd like to see a writeup on how ford dealerships do financing. Also any advice you'd have to buyers on how to get the best financing. I know they always add a few points no matter how good the credit. I'm planning on getting two different auto loan quotes before I go in to finance with the dealership to see if they'll match. But I'd be interested to know the specifics of how many points are usually added to the loan rate.

I covered financing in detail on Car Buying 101. Know your credit score before you do anything. Call your bank and maybe a credit union in your area and compare rates. Once you find out what rate they are charging, you can have the dealer apply also. All dealerships aredifferent as far as points. If you have a credit rating of 720 or better, you should qualify for the lowest rate at the bank or C.U. Thsy give their best rate to those with excellent credit and do not mark the rate up.

Can you explain in detail what a "data processing fee is" and what date is processed for the customer?

I still have NO idea what a data processing fee is. I have never heard of it in 24 years of selling Fords.
