Three Questions
I'm looking to order an '06 GT and have three basic questions to start out.
1. I don't have any prospect of obtaining X-plan so, I've resigned myself to paying MSRP. Is there ANY reason I should even CONSIDER paying over MSRP?
2. What is a reasonable deposit?
3. Is there ANY reason a dealer wouldn't refund a deposit?
Thanx in advance for any help y'all can offer.

I would not pay over MSRP for a standard production model Mustang, period.
To me a reasonable deposit for a special order is $500-1000.
Deposit should be refundable unless the vehicle ordered is something that no one else on earth would want. I have been at this dealership for almost 24 years and we have never kept a deposit. It's just not good business especially in a smaller market like ours.
