I have been seriously considering buying an '06 Mustang GT on the X-Plan. I would like to order it in time for it to arrive next spring and am thinking that if I order in January, I might be lucky enough to get it then. So my questions are:

1. How do I choose the dealership? Does it have to be the largest one around? What questions should I ask?

2. What is the the general order process that I should follow. I want to make sure that I get the documents and signatures. I've seen too many posts that say, this or that should have been in writing and signed.

Thank you!

Probably your first concern in selecting a dealership is to find one that will accept X plan on a GT. With the current popularity of the car, many dealers will not accept an X plan deal on a car they can easily sell for more. By next spring this may not be as much an issue, but if Ford does not increase production of the GT it may be.
You also need to feel 100% comfortable that the dealer will honor your deal and actually get you a car. This comfort level can be accomplished by having all your documents proper as you mentioned, and by working with a dealer that has a good reputation and atmosphere.
I don't have time right now to go into the order process, but the topic has been covered many times, so if you do some searches you will have much to read.
Good luck.

I would ask the dealer 1st if they accept x-plan on Mustang GT and if so if they have enough allocation to provide a car within a reasonable amount of time. I would also allow myself at least 3 months to get a GT built.

As for the general process, it has been covered many times in many threads so you should not have much trouble finding it. I know I have thoroughly explained it more than once.
