So here’s my question… I have an 05 GT, with 35,500 miles on it.
I am trading it in for an 06 sometime later this month… my question to someone who would have a definitive answer is, after it hits 36,000 miles and my warranty runs up can the dealership, which is the one I bought it from, give the vehicle the extended warranty after I give it to them and after its past 36,000 miles?

Thanks in advance, and please no smart comments about my miles or the fact that I’m trading it in and not selling it myself.

I beleive you can even purchase one from ford, up too a certain amount of miles. Look at the ford website(might be cheaper if u bought it then traded)

ya i was thinking that too, but if i'm getting rid of it anyway and the dealer can sell it as an option or just give the car the extended warranty then id rather do that, i just dont know if its possiable...

Once the car hits 36K, the only warranty available from Ford is a used car ESP. Do NOT buy an ESP prior to trading it in as most dealers will want to sell a used ESp anyway when they sell the car/
Good luck on the '06.
