How important are the surveys after a dealership sells a car? From what I can gather, some salesmen care about them more than the actual price of the car.

The salespersons receive a numerical grade and in a lot of stores their pay plan and bonus is directly tied to the Customer Satisfaction Index score that they receive. If your salesperson performed to your liking, give him the completely satisfied in all the categories. By checking a box just one step lower can throw his score to a no bonus situation.

I have an X-plan question for you. I know someone at a company that I saw on a list of companies that offer x-plan pins. So I am guessing that this person I know can just talk to the right department and get a X-plan pin...is this right? If so can I use that pin or do I need to be an employee? The person I know is my wife's cousin if that makes a difference or not.

One more....how does one get there company on this list to have X-plan pins? We use ford trucks for or work and have bought at least 15 over the last 10 years from f150's to 450's.

Thanks for any info...I am dying to order my 06 but want to get a X-plan pin to use first

You would not be able to use the pin number of a cousin; only employees and spouses. As for your company, they would either have to be a supplier to Ford or be considered a major fleet [normally 100+ units in operation].
The only other way you can get a pin is from a Ford employee under their friends and family program.

Think I can talk the salesguy into giveing me one of his?

Thanks!

Ohh another question for you, Its about trade in's and tax credits. If I were to trade in two cars on a mustang and the trade in value was grater than the car price...would I pay NO taxes on top of getting a check back from the dealer for the over amount?

I would love to give you a pin but the Friends and Family program is only for Ford Motor Company employees, not dealer employees.

With regards to your tax question, in IL that would be the case, i do not know about LA.

Why isnt my mustang built yet? Whats the hold up?

j/k Do you know how many Stang GT's are built in a day, week, or month?
How often are dealerships generally getting them in( i know this is different for every dealership but i mean in general)? If a dealer has six ordered GT's will those be the first six GT's they recieve?

Thanks in advance.

k...I have two questions.

First, are there any differences between the 05 & 06 Mustang GT models? If so, what are they?

Second, Is there a way to find out the build number on our 05 Mustang GT?

Is there a price list available for the Freestyle? The one that I had when buying my Mustang made pricing it out a breeze. It looks like I'm going to get the Freestyle in my driveway sooner than the Pony-Package Mustang vert I ordered a month ago.

Thanks! Your posts were invaluble to me when ordering my dream car!

I'll leave all the parts related questions to you and I will handle the ordering and specification questions.

They do not have to be Mustang related, ask any Ford question and if I do not know the answer, i will find it out for you. I generally check messages 4-5 times a day depending on business and check my email quite a bit more as i have a lot of out of town customers and vendors I do business with.

I have almost 24 years of sales, truck management, finance, and commercial/fleet experience; not to mention a first hand knowledge of Ford's ordering and allocation system. Be happy to help.

Hello, I am going to be installing a CDC shaker hood kit on my 05 Mustang GT. Am I going to run into any problems with warranty? I realize under law the part you install has to be proven it did something to your car in order for Ford not to fix but any other issues? Thanks.

Ok. What would trade in value be for my 05 Mustang

v6 Premium
Auto Transmission
Spoiler
IUP
Shaker 500
Leather Seats
5400 miles
Bought March 05
Absoultly excellent condition

Also. My mom works for a Ford supplier & can recieve x-plan. If I take her xplan on a 06 Mustang (ordered like I want) then will I still get full trade in vlaue or is there a deduction on the trade in? And if so around how much?

Thanks bunches
Kera

Your trade value is not affected by x-plan, what is affected is the negotiating.

For example if a car lists for $25,000 and has a factory invoice of $22,500, when you trade usually you are negotiating the profit the dealer is making. When a car gets appraised, the number the dealer uses is wholesale or auction value. They then add whatever discount they were going to give you to that value and show it as your trade in value. Your car is still only worth 'x' number of dollars.
So if you are buying on x-plan you will get the wholesale value for your trade in [no matter where you buy the new vehicle].
Hope this helps.
Ed

Here's a question about the 06 Mustang.

I ordered Vista Blue GT, manual, dark charcoal interior, 18in fanblades, side air bags and the alarm.

This was about 3 months ago and when I call the number I'm C/U and I know a lot of people have been waiting longer but I've seen a lot of people with similar options (some the exact same) who have ordered there's after mine but got theres already or will be getting it soon.

It was ordered from Bailey flood ford in East Greenwich, RI..

and I think i remember you saying that different regions have different amounts of these options or something like that so what are the numbers/allocations like for this region?

I am trying to find one off a lot because I'm tired of the wait but no luck.
