Incentives after 4/2/07 for Mustang?

My new 07 GT is on order with an expected delivery date of 4/13. There is currently a $1,000 incentive through 4/2. Anyone know if this will continue beyond 4/2? If not, is there a new incentive? Any info is appreciated.

Hey Adam, I won't know anything in regards to the incentives for 4/3 until Monday afternoon, or early Tuesday morning. Most likely, the rebate ($1,000) and rate will stay the same. As for the auto trans rebate, don't know if they will keep it going.

You can actually change the date now in fmcdealer's C&I grid(for salespeople), it shows no changes. It only lets you do it a few days before(as of yesterday).

Well, if that's the case then I'm probably going to order a 2008.

Just doing some research on used mustang prices. 2007 numbers aren't yet available in Edmunds, NADA, or Kelly Blue Book, but when I compared a 2005 to a 2006 (both with the same options and mileage), The 2006 retailed for $2400 more than a 2005.

Since we are so late in the model year and one can order a 08 in 2 weeks, my thinking is that you would need ~$2400 more incentives on a new 2007 to make it worthwhile. They will probably be there during the summer sales event, but the odds of me finding exactly what I want on a 2007 during summer is probably low.

08 order guide should be out very soon.

Based on post #5 above, it sounds like nothing is going to change tomorrow.

Everything is still the same as of now, it wont let you change the date to 4/3 at this moment and you can't click on anything so it apparently is being updated right now. You can 'roll' a deal back a day when reporting it so if its a day later its no big deal.

Mark are you planning on buying and selling your car in the same month? If you buy a car late in the year you tend to get a year of 'free' miles, so its mostly a wash down the road from buying another model year right when it comes out if you keep it for 5+ years and it's a daily driver. You end up with a higher mileage 08 or a lower mileage 07.

Jeff, I'm now thinking the order guide won't be out until 14 April http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showpo...0&postcount=32

Kevin,
I just went into NADA and selected a 2006 with 10 miles on it and a 2005 with 10 miles on it and the 2006 (same options as the 2005) was worth $2400 more. So, I'm thinking that in a couple of years a 2008 will be worth $2400 more than a 2007.

Therefore I would need about $2400 more in incentives on a 2007 than on a 2008 to make it comparable.

Until that order guide comes out, it's all just conjecture.

It doesn't work like that in the real world. Only the cars you buy from Kelly Blue Book Auto Sales or your local NADA dealership sells them like that. We have a 20 year old kid that started 2 weeks ago that has sold more cars then Kelly Blue Book ever has. Plus, its not realy something that equates to $$'s, I will enjoy all of the nice weather THIS spring and all the hanging out and crusing THIS summer in my brand new GT before she ever sees winter weather. Get them in the begining of the model year and your new car sees snow before it sees bikini-clad passengers.

The site looks like incentives now continue exactly as before through 7/02.

Not much snow for me in VA Beach, but I hear you. As soon as I see that order guide I can make my decision.

Currently leaning toward getting an 08 as I'm going to be gone for much of the summer anyway.

Incentives

The Ford web site has some really good incentives on the Mustang until July, rebates are great, it looks like $2600. combined on the GT auto trans models. http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mus...r=07&zip=08837

Bruce, and to everyone else who read the above post, despite the info on Ford's website, ALL 3 REBATES ARE NOT COMPATABLE!!! I've said this before. You get the $1,000 rebate AND either the $995 or the $695 Bonus Cash(depending on the car). The reason for the 2 different bonus cash rebates is simple. Ford changed the price of the auto in the GT after September 1st 2006, from $995 to $695. The rebate valued at $995 is for all cars that are invoiced prior to Sept 1st. While the other rebate ($695) is for all cars invoiced after Sept 1st. You don't get all 3. You only get 2, or you get the bonus cash and the APR. Hope this answers some questions.

Ok, so my dealer did not tell me anything about any "Bonus cash."

Based on the belief that nothing would be changing today, which it looks like was accurate, I signed the papers last night, but heard nothing about "Bonus cash," is that regional?????

Should I have gotten that, even the $695?
