Do you think i could get a mortgage on a Ford GT... its kinda a collectors car and probaly won't go down in value that much or at all...
So i figure if i got a 30 year mortgage on the Ford GT it wouldn't cost me too much per month.
You think my wife would consider a Ford GT over a house?

You have it all firgure wrong. The car may appreciate if it is not driven too much so you want to lease it. Figure in 5 years it will be worth more than you paid for it, the leasing company would pay you to drive it sinct a lease is based on depreciation. The only thin in IL you would have to pay is sales tax and interest on carrying the balance for 60 months. On a selling price of $175,000 that comes to $1895.84 per month and you haven't put full coverage insurance on it yet.

Thanks for checking the numbers for me.
almost 1900 a month...hmm.... If i don't buy food, move into the car instead of paying rent and untilities.... It just might work...
"Honey, were going to eat in tonight"...goes through the drivethru

Something tells me its not going up in value any time soon. These days any starting bids over 180k on ebay get no takers. Last year they started at $250. The car should stabilize at about 10k over sticker, as Ford pretty much priced the car right. The one I am sitting 6' away from was just sold by a check
The funny thing is, one person tried to trade in a 550 Marianello(sp), he had the window sticker at $285K and it was 2 years old with about 8k miles, current sale price on the market......$130k.
