Ok. I'm one of those unfortunate souls waiting for their car to arrive. I ordered my car without Active Anti-theft since I planned to go aftermarket. Well, after some research I feel that I might have made a mistake. No biggie, I can call the dealer and have him change the order. Now here are my questions:

1) My car has not yet been serialized. So changing my order now should not delay it further. Am I correct?

2) I read some where here that cars with Anti-Theft are being delayed due to short supply. Is this true?

I ordered my car with the active alarm. It's scheduled to be built the week after next.

 

me too. but, depends on the allocation of the active anti-theft - it's my understanding that even if there are a lot of orders in the bank with a certain option, they'll only pull orders such that the production rate will follow the pre-determined allocation rate, right?

it's almost just the luck of the draw.

 

Thanks guys. I just spoke with the dealer and he said that since I'm C/U it will not delay my order. So I went ahead and added AAT to my order.
