I ordered a Vista blue GT Convert with 64W's on 7/6/05. My dealer called today and said mine was searalized, but with 64E's instead. He said Ford is not taking any orders yet on the 64W's. Since I figure the car will arrive in time for the first snow (Chicagoland), I am willing to wait for the 64W's. He said I was risking that Ford would not follow through on the 64W's as planned, but was OK with waiting.

This link indicates a job#1 of 10/3/05 for the 64W's. Has anyone heard differant?

As of our Distribution News Bulletin dated 8/19, the 64W wheels are still showing late availability with no date. That is the only info i have to go on.

 

I ordered an 05 Feb 2, never got it. I put in my order ASAP August 1, still waiting. Clean and Unsch.

Why are dealers gettign cars left and right and ME after almost 8 months , some who ORDERED a car, am still waiting. I'm almost afraid that my car won't come at all. Wuts the deal???

I just don't understand why my order isn't being fullfilled. My dealer says there is NOTHING he can do. I am a relative but we put the order in as retail so that shouldn't have anything to do with it. If I can call and find out where a $2000 computer order is, I sure as heck expect to be able to get some info on my $26000 car.

It all falls back on your dealer and his allocation. We are already in the second allocation period. Your car will get scheduled in the order and priority that your dealer sets it up with Ford whether you ordered retail or "D" plan. The dealer tells Ford what sequence he wants vehicles scheduled and prioritizes them accordingly. He may have other orders he prioritized ahead of you.

 

Actually he has no other orders! I called him again the other day and kind of let him have it. I told him that I saw many posts on a certain internet forum where MANY people were already getting their 06s from VERY recent orders. So he said he would try to contact his main rep for the region. Low and behold he faxed them my 05 order and I'll be damned if I didn't have a VIN the next day.

My Current Parts info Shows October as the wheel Release Date. But That could Change. I notice FORD Racing is now listing the 18" Polished Bullit. So wheels are Supposedly being made.
