I got the same date from my dealer yesterday. Confirmed it was built last week and to be delivered next week. Looks like the race is on!

Just curious, when did you guys order. I placed my order on 2/7/07,
Alloy GT Coupe, IUP, 18"bullitts, spoiler delete. I havent been able to get any info from my dealer. I am hoping within the next two weeks for delivery. Looks like its time to make a visit to my salesman. He did state 6 to 8 weeks.

I placed my order on 1/30/07. Call your dealer and ask him for an update. He certainly should have more info and specifically a build date and ETA for delivery.

Talking The wait is over!!

Ok, I guess I win! Just got a call from my dealer and my new Stang got delivered today

I am going to take delivery of the car on Saturday since we are in the midst of a Nor Easter with 3-6" of snow falling today/tonight. Difficult to wait, but for the best. Goes to Cervini's next Friday for a C300 build, which will also be tough, but will be worth the 2-3 week wait!

I am hoping mine will be here ready for Monday. -- I simply wont take the delivery on Friday the 13th even if they call me. Call me supersticious.
I have to work Saturday, but maybe could swing it.
Other than that.. looks like next week... which is fine cause I am in the middle of a rainy spell here in NJ as well!

I ordered a GT Premium with 18 inch polished wheels on Jan 23rd. I was also told by my dealer that either the 18 inch rims or 18 inch tires were the hold up. Finally got a build date of April 16th with delivery approx. the 1st week of May. My dealer is also a Roush dealer, so they will have it a few extra days after it arrives, while adding the Roush supercharger, Roush suspension, Roush exhaust, Roush short throw shifter, Roush rear quarter window louvers and Roush strut tower brace. I'm hopeful that it will be ready to be picked up by me, just about a month from today!

Thanks for the greeting!

It's going to run about $43K. Which is about 10K under the Stage 3 MSRP. Didn't go with a Stage 3 for a couple of reasons. I got all the interior I needed with the interior upgrade....didn't need the Roush interior. I like the Roush exterior, but I really want more of 'sleeper' look...trying to keep it somewhat like a regular GT appearance.....mild on the outside, wild on the inside! I'm adding some of my own touches to customize it to my own look. Getting a new upper and lower grill and possibly the mirrors from Agent 47, will be adding the Ford side scoops. Later this year I intend to have my custom striping put on....which will replicate the stripes that I had on my 70 Mach 1 and that you don't really ever see on late model Mustangs. About all you see today are the dual rally stripes. So, I save some money, but still get the Roush performance and my own unique look....which is kind of what having a Mustang has been all about.

Sounds pretty fishy to me. Ask him what the order status code is. If it's still Unscheduled/Clean, plan on an 08'!

I'm still clean/unscheduled for an order logged 1/17. The dealer tells me there is no problem but it sounds fishy to me too. I'm also getting the polished bullitts (presuming the car ever gets built, that is). I'm strongly leaning towards switching to an 08. The incentives offered now are not fantastic anyway, and I have X-plan. I figure I could troll the dealer lots in Jul/Aug for last 07s when the incentives should be better. Maybe I'll find one acceptable, otherwise just wait for the 08.

I've read the first 08s will roll off in early July. Does anyone have a guess as to when customer orders will start being produced? I'd expect Ford would want to stock dealer lots first so maybe ordered cars get pushed off? I'm taking vacation the last week of Aug and I'd love to have the car for it. I'm wondering how likely that might be if I go for an 08.

Car Arrived

Thanks for the responses guys, car came in on 4/11. Minor problem, someone at the dealer did not code in the 64w, so I got the standard GT wheels. The car still looks good and I was offered a reorder, but declined.

They should get you the bullets and give you the standards for their mistake.

Seems to me like that when someone special orders a vehicle, the dealer would take enough time to make sure there are no mistakes before submitting.

Ask the dealer to just order the wheels you wanted thru the parts department and swap them when they come in. No need to order the whole car.

There is a special running for new cars now for dealers to get a set of 18" forged pollished marauder wheels with KDW tires for only $777 at cost assuming there is a set of take-off 17" wheels.

Look on this thread, it may be cheap enough for them to cover this*(post11):

Its in insane deal for dealerships right now. Being that they didn't charge you the $900+ for the 18"s, you could probably haggle them for cost for this set..
