PCA event this past Sat

This event was sponsored by Porsche club of America. They hold events all over and are usually open to all makes and models within reason. One day was 300 and two day was 450. We had 10 students including myself. From a Focus RS to a Mclaren 570. 10 cars on a 3.4 mile track you have a lot of space between cars. I was able to catch a Porsche sport ute and was passed by a 4 door Audi. I did the one day but the instructor pretty much begged the couple one day peeps to come back for the second day no charge. He actually got on his knees in the lot and begged. Scott Man Pro racer been there done that was the Class room instructor. Great teacher! You are also assigned an in car instructor. Students have class room for about an hour, about an hour of wet skid pad for some figure 8's, and an evasive lane change on dry pavement while being sure to engage the anti locks. While doing the figure 8's the instructor is out there teaching you when to turn in and and where he wants you to be. More classroom after the first 30 minute track session. The first of two 30 minute track sessions the instructor drove your car to show you how it is done for two laps. These guys all have like 1000 laps or better on this track. Sat you had two 30 minute sessions and 4 track sessions on Sunday with in car instructor. The instructor will save your car every time.... Break! So much fun well worth what you take home with you. Check your local race track or local PCA chapter for events near you. Also if you don't have a car Hertz has some ok rentals I hear. I was not worried about trashing my car at all during the whole day. Very safe!
My twin showed up shortly after I did. Funny never met the guy before and we end up with almost the same number on the exact same car. I'm 077

That sounds like an awesome event, with better instruction than any event I have ever been at, I assume you had a blast . . . .

just one question: are you hooked now?
