Oil Pan

I am going to start autocrossing my 2002 Mustang GT and am worried about loss of oil pressure and am curious about the oil control in the stock pan. I know in F-bodies they usually run about 1 qt over when they autox, but what do Mustangs do? Do you run the normal amount of oil or overfill, or what?

Thanks, I would appreciate any information.

Let me rephrase my questions:

1. Does anyone autocross their 1996-2004 Mustang GT, and if so have you ever seen your oil pressure drop?

2. Do you take any precautions before autocrossing? such as overfilling the oil?

I autocross my '06 and take it on road courses and I have not noticed any drop in oil pressures on turns, etc... using the stock pan (it is baffled) and recommended fill level. Not sure if the '04 and earlier models have a similar pan, though.

If you are just starting, you shouldn't be on R-compounds, so you won't have to worry anyway.

Unfortunately, this subforum doesn't get much traffic--try posting in the subforum specific to your year for more input. Or head over to the corral.net road race/autocross subforum.
