My wife has qualified in the NMRA Nationals at Kansas City, MO. She has ran a 13.41. 12.86 and a 12.85. Her index will be 12.75 due to the 1 tenth rule in the Modular Muscle Heads Up Class. We are just hoping to make it past 1st round because everyone seems to think that Modular Muscle cannot be won by a stick car but my wife is trying to prove herself. BTW Justin Bircham is here and is running a Procharger D-1SC and has made an exhibition pass at around 11.70. I know this is much slower than his 10.99 pass on nitrous but it looks as if he is having traction problems. His crew informed me that last night they spent about 8 hours on the dyno tuning his car wich is now running about 14lb of boost and putting 560 hp to the rear wheels on the factory long block. He is running 39# injectors off of a Cobra and a fuel boost module. I will post as soon as I see what happens tomorrow in eliminations. It seems we are running against a host of 05 Mustangs in the Modular Mustang class. There are a couple of Vortech cars running 12 teens and a Roush car with sponsorhip running 12.90's, he has a full cage, open long tube headers and 4.10 gears. Tough competition but according to the pro's this class can be won by any competitor. The worst thing is that my wife has now come within 1/100th of my best time in the car and I am starting to get jealous, especially since her reaction times are better than mine on a .500 pro tree.

I'm gealous. I wish I could be there! Congratulations on the qualifying and good luck in the runs. I remember that Charolais/Roush car at Bradenton. By the looks of that guys motor home/bus, he doesn't need a sponsor. He has some other old car that has Charolais on it. I forget what kind of car it was. Hope you guys have a great time! Good luck.

Chalon did great, I just wanted her to be able to make it past 1st round and she did. She ran a 12.88 on a 12.85 dial in and rt of .105. Round 2 was a different story, she fell asleep at the tree with a .312 rt, still ran a 12.88 on the 12.85 dial but that was enough for the other lane to stay ahead. Everyone kept coming up to us and asking how much spray we were running or how much boost, make us feel good that we are running these times with n/a. Bottom line we will be in the "Race Pages" magazine for qualifying 12th and making it up to 6th place in the Modular Muscle Pro class.

David, the Charlais car ran 13.10's, he has full length JBA headers with open exhaust after the collector, a full roll cage, and tons of other race junk. The other car was a Falcon and the driver told me it was Jack Roush's original first race car that they pulled out of the museum for this season.
