Thumbs up NASA HPDE at Pikes Peak International Raceway

The planned NASA Halloween event got canceled and switched to a week later at the old PPIR oval, which has been shut down for professional racing but was re-opened to local amateur clubs, like NASA. Great event, not much turn out in the beginner classes; just my second event, so I'm still in the mandatory teacher ride along HPDE1 group. There's several events here next summer, so looking forward to then -- gotta get that Shelby rear axle breather valve reservoir hooked up before then, cause I was oiling down my right rear axle back exhaust pipe and rear suspension without knowing it.

Found that lowering my rear shock stiffness on the D-specs and reducing the rear tire air pressure to about 36 allowed me a bit more traction coming out of the hairpins. And the Stoptech/Saleen brakes with EBC redstuff pads did great coming off the tri-oval onto the road course part - I was outbreaking most of the Porsche's! The Cayman S was running away from me, though.

Great fun!
