Brake Fluid Reservoir leak/ paint damage fix?

I have been noticing that when AutoXing i gt a small amount of fluid on the horizontal seam of the reservoir. No big deal but it bothered me. Quick wipe and no other issues. Yesterday when I went to the COMSCC track day at NHMS I had much more and it dripped down onto the paint. ARRR! I noticed it at the track and sacrificed some drinking water to wash it off, but now there are some paint bubble spots.

1: Is this normal and is it coming from the cap? Hard cornering would get the fluid to splash and hit the cap, but the cap should be airtight to keep out moisture... Should I just remove some fluid to allow for more expansion? I am thinking if I get a new cap with a fitting and a remote reservoir, I can increase the air volume that can be compressed before the fluid forces itself out of the cap.

2: Should I worry about the paint and attempt to fix it or leave it alone?

Drove mine for 6 years all year round in New England with this issue, never saw any rust there.
