I know Sendero and a few other people that participate in the SCCA events in Huntsville and they have a blast. I've watched the ones in Birmingham before and it was great fun. I highly recommend it to all!

I am going to regularly be going to the Huntsville Events, my first one was the week before last and it was the most fun I ever had while driving a car.
If your in the Huntsville Area and have to choose between events I would recommend the Milton Frank ones. Its a larger area so longer course. My top speed was 60+.

You've probably seen Sendero there then. He has a black 96 cobra running some nice suspension mods. Also his g/f runs her black 01? v6 mustang. Another friend of ours runs his goldish AWD talon and occasionally his white automatic transam.

Sendero, yep thats me. The certified idiot doing 80+ mph in a shifter kart.
I saw you there James, I was working the timing system. Seems like you like the throttle!

Yeah that was my first event I smoothed out a good bit as the day went on, I think? I remember your g/f Mustang.
You Kart guys are insane fast.
Any pointers would be great since you've been running the Cobra. Do you run FStock or ESP when you drive it?

I bought the kart to avoid blowing up the Cobra. On R-compound tires I can corner hard enough to starve the engine of oil in the stock pan. I need a Canton 7qt Road Race pan, but that requires a new K-member and a number of other pricey parts. So now I just dominate the Raw times with the kart.
As far as pointers go, seek me out at the next event and I'll show you the ropes.

Nathan, we seriously need some stickypod footage from the shifterkart.

I am going to take out my video camera and try to get someone riding with me to take some footage of me driving the course.

Cool, I will probably be at the Oct 30th Event. What is a Night Slalom, that's what it says the 29th will be.
