An auto good for Road Racing?!

I need some advice on how to modify a 06GT "Auto" to race on the track?

I'm thinking of these mods:

-Power Slot Cryo rotors.
-Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads.
-Brake Cooling Kit.
-Steeda handling pak stage one.
-TCI new ratchet shifter<<Thats if its coming out anytime soon!.

& Do I need to change the brake fluid to a dot4 synthetic?

Thanks..

FWIW:

A buddy of mine was running an 06 Auto GT at our events last season, I ran into him this season again and he said after 5 track days the auto had crapped the bed--he blew all the seals in it from the repeated beatings.

He ended up exchanging the car and getting a 5-speed manual car in the same color (don't ask me how he pulled that off).

If I remember correctly, the trick to keeping the automatic safe is to keep the fluid cool--for that you'll need the deep trans pan, and make sure it's properly filled before each event! I think the pan is a 100 or 200$ mod--definitely less expensive than a new car or new trans!

Cool concept, but it looks like they're using two small buttons to control the shifting, instead of a "traditional" pull-paddle on each side. You're going to have a hard time hitting those small buttons when you're concentrating on hitting an apex.
Also I don't know what a paddle shifter would buy you in an auto car, really. The shifts aren't going to get any faster. The 5R5SS isn't a Ferrari w/ the F1 Electrogear trans.

If it were me, I'd just leave it in "D" w/ the OD off and let the auto do its own work, and find some other things to spend that money on (suspension/tires)

Regarding brakes: The stock rotors are fine, save money and get "new" stock fronts from www.newtakeoff.com.
If you're going with Hawk pads, get at least HPS. Preferably HP+.
Flush out and replace your brake fluid with a high-temp fluid like ATE Super Blue, Wilwood Hi-Temp, or Motul RBF600--whichever one fits your budget will work.
I used to get this Valvoline Synpower fluid but they revised the formula and it lost 20* of heat capacity so I'm moving away from that...

if you've got the auto, you'll have to just leave it in drive, if you shift it the way it needs to be for road racing, it'll go away quickly. just let the computer shift itself

I'll think you'll have a lot more fun on track if you trade for a manual now, before you start modifying things.

Driving an auto on the track is fun but yeah a manual is alot more fun!..I've tryed both, just leaving the auto on D & braking it hard ,turning then flooring it again ,It felt like playing a video game! + after three laps my brakes were smoking!..thats why I want to upgrade my brakes first ..& I've also tryed to shift my auto & I like it..thats why I'm thinking of geting a ratchet shifter..
Now I'm still worryed my auto will not stand the pressure..but maybe going to the track once a month & after like 4 laps I stop to let the car cool down, will not effect my trans! or anything else..

Thanks guys for ur replys..
