I just put some wax over the streaks on the Ranger. Speaking of the Ranger, I need to wash and detail it. Poor truck is wayy overdue for cleaning. During Spring I'll get the Mustang detailed.
I like Black Box, I'm happy with the results. I've really never tried any other products. Talk to me about tire dressing and then we could have a big debate.

The black box is great for filling in swirls and deepening the black. I always follow it with some turtle wax ice. This is great for in between waxing. Speaking of turtle wax ice, I have tried all of the spray waxes. Mothers, Meguiars, zymol and when used for in between waxes, I'm shocked that the cheap @ss ice and Black box do so well together.

When I bought my first black mustang 13 years ago, I would seriously laugh at turtle wax products. Not anymore.

Yeah, I used both those products on my Ranger. I actually liked the liquid wax better than the paste wax, go figure. I used paste wax on the Mustang and Ranger the first time. I went and used Ice on the Ranger the second time I detailed it and I liked it a lot better. I still yet need to use Meguiars Ultimate Compound on the Ranger. I actually need to buff it, get the swirls out of it.

I like the fact that I have a Ranger, its a truck so I can haul stuff, I can go off-road, and I can detail it and make it look hella nice. If I had a lot of money, I'd buy 2 more Rangers, one to lift, one to keep stock, and one to lower and put a 5.0 in. I'd also buy another Mustang Boss 302 blue one. Haha. I'll keep all of them detailed and shiny.

As for detailing products: When I first started out detailing, I'd say and use Turtle Wax products but now I'd say use Meg's or Griot Garage's products. If you can afford to spend a little more, never buy over the counter products unless its Meg's. That is all I have to say about that.

If you guys are looking into restoring the color of the plastic, just take some heat to it, just be careful not to get the gun too close. Lol.

Probably not the best for big exterior pieces. Hard to get it all even. Heat gun is a trick we used to use when we stressed plastic interior parts and they turned white.

I just tried turtle wax trim restorer. I've used back to black and others in the past. However, Turtle wax trim restorer is by far the deepest after application. Love it so far.

I'll keep you posted how it holds up. Otherwise, it looks awesome!

You'd have to apply it in direct sunlight, otherwise it wouldn't be as dark and deep.

It was sunny today. I took those pics after everything was done. What are your thoughts regarding the trim restorer from turtle wax?

Did it wash off on you?

Awesome to hear. I just went out and looked at it again. It really brought those chalky skirts back to life.

I'll be happy just to repel the salt and snow.

I noticed that after I got some on my hands, it was hard to wash off. I may need to do a once over again and make sure I didn't get any on the paint. I'm not sure how the stuff reacts to being on paint for a prolonged period of time??

I love it! When I applied it on the Ranger, first off I used wayy tooo much, not only that but it was a little overcast that day so it didn't work as good as I thought it would. Also with me using way too much, I had streaks running down the door...didn't look good. A couple months later, I used it on my parents Ford Escape on a sunny day, worked AMAZING. Lasted for like 6 months. Its worth it.

Well I had some of that on the door of the Ranger, since its black it was very noticeable. Bugged the heck out of me. I ended up applying liquid wax over it and the streaks went away.
