Waxing and Vinyl Stripes?
The advise from a 40 yrs experienced Mustang restorer(late models too), was to not wax the vinyl applique' on the hood of my 1999 "Limited" GT. He said it would eventually make the vinyl dry out and crack. He told me just to wash it and keep it clean. I have done it this was for nearly 6 years and it still looks great.
Jason, I have never heard of that before. I have been waxing over stripes for years. I did an 89 dakota for a friend. He still has it. Waxes it 3 times a year as I told him to and the vinyl still looks great. Never cracked, peeled etc.. Sure, it has faded a bit but so has the paint on the truck.

and I am way afraid of just letting ANY body do them. When I talked to Graphic Express they wanted to borrow my car over the weekend like drop her off on Friday and pick her up on Monday just for side stripes. My wife was like they will put 100 miles on it. So we didnt go that route. Oh well looks like I am outta stripes for the time being till I can finally hunt someone down near me.

They are full of
. The side stripes take about 10 minutes per side, at the most, to install. It is the lemans stripes that are difficult.
