Waxing 3M vinyl stripes

Can you wax 3M vinyl stripes and not do any harm? I am sure the answer is yes but don't know if maybe they need to breath or something.

Yes you can. Unless they are Matte Black ... if you wax them they won't be Matte anymore.

DO NOT USE CLEANER/WAX but use a pure carnuba wax on these stripes.
Cleaner can and will damage them over a period of time.

They'll be matte.. but they'll turn white.

I have gloss black stripes and I wax them when I wax the car. Year and a half later no problems with the stripes. Just don't use any type of abrasive cleaner wax.
