Wax

Wondering what kind of wax everyone uses. I'm getting ready to wax my car for the first time. I have some Perma Seal and some Simoniz II liquid wax which I use on my old car.

Thanks. Honestly, I didn't know what that was a month ago. I just ordered a kit and will try it if we get a warm day next weekend.

I've been reading about layering waxes. Start with a synthetic and top it with some carnuba paste wax. Is this just overkill or does anyone here recommend this?

There are a few threads on this concept. Here was one that I quickly found as I tried to retrace my steps.

I don't layer because I am pretty happy with what I end up with after one coat. I use megs gold class.

Are you looking for just a wax job, or the car show "deep as the ocean" look? There are multiple options for both, there are currently several post concerning this, some with pics of the before and after results. And your decision is?
