For those of you who have gotten your stangs, after you picked her up did she need a good wax job (does the dealer do this as part of the prep process) or is this just a matter of preference.

I think they just wash em down. I waited like two weeks and just used a simple spray wax on the top parts only.

 

The dealer only did a good wash and clean when I went to pick my car up. Then this weekend I finally got some good weather and free time and spent about 6hrs. washing and waxing it. Lol, and being a 23 yr. old male in good shape, I couldn't believe how unbelievable sore I was then next day. But it was definately well worth.

 

Mine only got a good bath from the dealer; last weekend I used Meguiar's Clear Coat polish and then their Carnuba Wax.. looks great!!

 

My dealer did the whole 9 yards, wash, wax, buff. Did a good job too. 4 weeks later I did start waxing it myself though. Can't have too much wax
