Thumbs down Turtle Wax ICE wax. Stay Away!!

Just in case anyone was thinking about trying this stuff, STAY AWAY!!! I tried it and it took for-EVER to dry. Not only that but once it did finally dry (over 1.5 hours) it was a pain in the rear to remove, and left streaks and nasty swirlies, like I was just spreading it around. It's wierd stuff, oily. Goes on very easy though, and I do like it for the moldings...it makes them very black and seems to stay like that for a long time. Very good on the black molding piece running down the sides of the roof. Guess I'll keep it just for that purpose.

it says liquid polish..maybe it means you aren;t suppossed to let it dry before you remove it like most wax.

On the instructions it says "let dry (4-5 minutes)" Even if you don't let it dry it just smears around on the car. Not to mention I just found out that it is only good for "6 months or 20 car washes" and no UV protection that I can tell. There are plenty other polishes/waxes that are good for 1 year and have UV protection. (not that I would really wait a full year between waxes...)

Liquid or not, still has to dry on the car, or it won't stick to the paint.

Yeah it just smears around on the paint no matter if it's dry or not. Does nicely on the black plastic stuff, like mirrors and moldings and trim though. No white residue and makes it all deep black.

Good to know. I was about to suggest it to my cousin to use with her Civic.

I'll stick to Meguiar's Gold Class and some elbow grease

I found that it would dry only when applied very very thin. Wiped off easy enough. Don't use any pressure wiping it off. None. Zero. Zip.

It wasn't the best shine I've seen on the car. And it kind of "sweated" the following day and had to wipe it off again in some areas. That part was weird.

Try BlackFire. I really like that product.

I tried it also left streaks all over the finish.

Had to redo with Meguires NXT.

I buffed it off with a microfiber towel first and fininshed with a cotton diaper with no problems.

I didn't have any problems either with ICE. I put it on lightly, waited 10 minutes, it came off with no problems. I had to go over a 2nd time with a clean micro fiber towel, but I have needed to do that with Meguires as well. I've used it the last 2 washes, it leaves a deep mirror shine.
