Well I needed to clean my mustang for the last time ( job change forces sale http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=47323 ) and I saw a new product called Ice from turtle wax. Very zaino like, except no test tubes, scientific alphabet soup, $200 orders or jerks that don't return emails. Just a simple looking polish on the shelf with all the other garbage at wal mart. I put on one coat and wow - now I see what you synthetic guys are talking about. Stuff works great. Huge container for only $16. Now my car looks even better, but it still has to go

See this thread for some reflection pictures http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=47323

No offense, but a spray coat of NXT Speed Detailer can give a reflection...

I get a reflection even if I don't wash it for a month, not at all the purpose of my post. Just sharing my experience with this product is all. I've used pretty much everything, detailed cars professionally in the past and this stuff works great considering the price, amount of product, ease of use and the results. As they say, to each his own...

This is the worst wax/polish I ever used.
Tried it on my 95 firebird and it left streaks all over the finish.
Looks like I will need to go back with the NXT to achieve a nice finish. Good thing I did the test trial on my daily driver firebird and not the mustang.
Your $16.99 is better spent on the Meguiars NXT wax.

sorry to bring up an old topic, but I figure its better than starting a new one...

I used the Ice on my 98 GT and it did make a nice difference. It shines just as well as my NXT wax does. Also lasts just as long (been in rain and blegh driving the past 2 weeks lol) Not saying I'm switching from the awesomeness that is Meguires products but it doesn't hurt to try a new wax once in awhile

I do have a question though, my brother waxed his 05 stang with NXT then put on the ICE afterwards and his car look amazingly good. Do you guys think thats it's just because his paint is newer that the polish brought the shine out better or was it the actual use of the Wax and Polish ?

I'd say it was just because the paint was newer. Putting 1 type of wax over another wax should not result in a better shine. I am sure if you just put 2 coats of NXT you would have seen the same result.

I was looking at this ICE stuff last week and thought...hmmmm....I wonder if it is any good. Well one day I just might give it a try.

I have the full Zaino kit and was very impressed with the results, except for how long it took and all of the instructions. In the end, I used G5 the most (spray detailer). I picked up Ice spray detailer recently, and it does seem to achieve the very same results at a much better price. Ice rules for the price. I think if you try to use any spray detailer on a lousy or unwaxed car you are going to get undesirable results. Spray detailer should only be used on a "well-waxed" car.

I tried the Ice and I am very impressed.
I use the Mr Clean system (no dry) and finish it with the Ice. I can have the whole car finished in next to no time.
The Ice simply sprays on and wipes off. It couldnt be easier. I would highly recomend it even though I know die hard fans of other products wont go near it (I was one).
I have tried a lot of things and this one really works.

It smells good too.

I am quite happy with the NXT wax. like adrenalin I also decided to give Zaino a whirl. I actually like the shine NXT gave better. To each their own though. But honestly NXT will give the same protection as any other synth wax. It's all just a personal preference.

I used to use Zaino, but prefer the shine I get from Liquid NXT Tech Wax and a random orbital. I use Turtle Wax ICE as a finisher now, very good shine.

Zaino is nice, but the time spent hand applying wasn't worth it to me when I can get just as good if not a better shine out of a few coats with the buffer.
